Unbelievable that we finished 3rd, 32 points from 42 available last 14 games, unreal form on a par with City and Pool.
Ole gets some stick but deserved a lot of credit as do McKenna, Carrick and Phelan.
Bruno the catalyst has sparked the front 3, Matic turned his form around, squad all look like they've bought in and we've the likes of Williams and Greenwood come through.
Thought we managed the game pretty well yday, must have been nerves as most haven't been thru a situation like that before so fair play.
3rd place under any previous managers would have said best we can achieve so its the same for Ole, better probably as he does bot have the CV of a Jose, LVG, Moyes so again much praise for Ole.
Transfer window will be crucial again and getting it right but we have the last window. Grealish and Sancho seem to be the 2 tho unsure on the latter and I don't see us pursuing a CB this summer.
Amazing lads, great to go thru another season with you all on hwre even tho we disagree and passions fly at times, onto EL and 7 weeks until we go again.
Thanks Eds as always, you put up with a lot from our ranging emotions.

With the money made through qualification to the champions league and the money not lost from our deal with Nike for failing to qualify for the champions league, I dare say that Bruno has already paid off his transfer fee with his contribution since January. He could do nothing for the remainder of his contract and still go down as one of our best signings of the post Fergie era.

Agreed WRD. And it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke in OGS. I mean, despite what I think of him as a coach and where I think we will go under him. There is nothing more satisfying as a fan to see a club legend be the one to do what he did. It really was special considering where we were in December.

I sincerely hope that they give him and the club the players that they need to go on and grow, close the gap at the top and be genuine contenders next season.

I don't think anyone expects us to challenge for the league next year, we just need to more competitive. Long sustained runs of great form followed by long sustained runs of abysmal form isn't the way forward.

Martial has done great since the restart but he now needs to do it week in week out. Likewise with Shaw who's been very impressive. Lindelof and Maguire look like strangers playing together at times. There's still a lot of work to do with tbis squad and a few tough decisions need to be made. We need to iron out the mistakes.

Hopefully We can improve the squad too. In Oles first impressive run when he took over ended with 3 players with muscle injuries in the first half draw against Liverpool. The wheels quickly came off in the next group of games. He needs learn how to rotate his squad better.

As Angel said I'm delighted for Ole. His smile when Lingard scored was great to see. The games will come thick and fast next year. He has a great habit of getting results when it looks like it's curtains, let's hope next season we close the gap on the top teams, Raise the bar and keep going.
