Eds and fellow posters, who in your opinions is Bruno's style of play most similar to in the EPL? Will David Silva be a fair shout?

David Silva was much better in possession, he was also more of a creator, whereas Bruno will score far more.

Kevin de bruyne but with less accuracy in his final ball and gives the ball away more.

This is not meant to be a criticism btw, de bruyne is in a league of his own.

De bruyne knows his team mates a lot better and peps teams are taught patterns when I say taught I mean drilled into them until they play them without thinking.

De bruyne is spectacular but the patterns help he knows where players should be knowing his team mates so well means he's more likely to know which pattern they are following.

Bruno's his own player but judging him on what we've seen so far is difficult even though he's been spectacular because he doesn't know the team also him and the rest of the squad have been played so much they were desperate for the break the last few weeks. there's still more to come I believe.

Methods drilled in and coached.
Players of interior ability come in and out of the team but the play ethos and system doesn't suffer.

All the best creators will give the ball away as they’re always looking for the killer pass. Bruno looks a fantastic player, no need to try and start comparing him to others.

Ken spot on. If only we could have that coaching at Utd. Imagine with Pep drilling our players how much better they would be

It reminds me of Andy Cole talking about that goal against Spurs which won us the league. He said he practised and practised until it became instinctive and part of his muscle memory so that when it was needed he did it naturally. That is what Pep drills into all his teams and which is exactly what we lack.

Bruno Fernandes is similar to Frank Lampard for me. A goalscoring attacking midfielder even though the majority of his goals are penalties.
