We are winning some amount of penalty's. It really is quite extraordinary.
At last and for what seems like the 1st time in years we have a reliable taker too.
There have been a couple of dubious and soft ones this season i am getting a kick out of all the snide comments from opposing fans. i love it😂.

I was about to post something along those lines. Last night was the 20th I believe. Ok a foul in the area is a foul but plenty have been dubious and I’m a bit embarrassed really. Should we be relying on them?

I'm not embarrassed by it. We don't give them refs do and they are upheld by var.
We shouldn't be relying on them but i'm afraid we do from time to time.
Im just loving all the fans of other teams going on about it. Even after their great season some Liverpool supporters prefer to talk about united. Its hilarious.

We are winning penalties due to the intricate play which we do in the box.
Bruno, Martial, Greenwood and Rash are all good at playing good 1 touch pass in tight areas.
Mata too came in and occupied pockets of space.

This was not previously possible with Lukaku :)

We don't play many passes into the penalty, we tend to have players running into the penalty area with the ball at their feet. The majority of our attackers such as Rashford, Martial, James and Greenwood.

It's often remarked how defenders hate pace and particularly players running at them with the ball at pace.

So it's hardly surprising that a team that's primary for of attacking is running with the ball towards goal will force more errors from defenders when attempting to stop them.

Whereas, teams like Liverpool or City that rely more on players playing passes into the penalty box will receive less penalties as defending that doesn't require making a perfectly timed tackle against a player moving at pace. A well timed block/ interception is all that's needed.

If only there was an independent party from the game confirming whether or not it should have been a penalty or not.

The only one I can 100% say shouldn’t have been a pen was the one against villa.

As a rival fan indeed it's pretty annoying seeing United get most 50/ 50 penalty decisions in their favor. Not saying they're not penalties, but some are just soft and only given from time to time, while United seem to get them all the time this season :-p

That said, United fans shouldn't care. It's in your favor, so enjoy it. I would if Chelsea got those decisions.

Yeah Jackson we have got lots of 50/ 50s this season. It helps now that we have someone sticking them away. Keep em coming i say😂.

Oh well. I guess with Sancho hopefully 'running at defenders with pace' in the penalty area we can hope for 30 soft penalties next season :D.
