Bayern tore Barcelona to 8 pieces yesterday. didn't see that coming. I hope our players saw that and understand where they need to be in couple months time. that's the level of opposition we are going to face in CL and not LASK or Astana where my granny and her mates can win. I hope our players have it in them to do justice to the great "Manchester United" name and not be there just to make up the numbers else we could be seeing ourselves on the wrong side of some very VERY embarrassing scorecards.

GDS2, buddy don't take this the wrong way but this is what i was saying the other day about having a plan B. Barcelona didn't have one against Bayern's press and they wreaked havoc. Even the great Messi surrendered. I hope our genius saw that and understands that he needs to be flexible with his tactics and game modes.

PS- Where is Ighalo? Has he fallen out with Ole? He hasn't played for quite a while now. Ole didn't bring him on for 120 minutes against Copenhagen where we needed a goal. Why extend his stay if you are not going to play him. Something wrong there.

Shan. Bayern have an excellent footballing structure.

On top of that, they get recruitment right.
Finally they have world class players like Lewandowski, Kimmich etc who are a managers dream.

I saw it coming. Barcelona when messi isn’t performing are dross. They will need to do a lot to keep up domestically and in Europe when he eventually leaves. They didn’t win la liga, they were outsmarted and smashed in Europe. And rightly so.

On another note Bayern will win it this year hands down.

Of the 9 UCL games Bayern have played this season they have failed to score 3 or more goals once in a 2-0 win against Olymipaicos.

They have also won games 7-2 against Spurs, 6-0 against Zvezda, beat Chelsea 7-1 on aggregate over two legs and dismantled Barcelona 8-2.

No jred i didn't mean Ighalo for Martial but we could have played with 2 up front with Martial playing of Ighalo. Just something different to try when plan A hasn't worked for 90 minutes. Rashford had a nightmare, could have taken him off.

Not sure what offence you think I’d take to you using something totally different to make a point about united playing long ball to Ighalo, I’m sure that tactic would have ripped Bayern apart. At least you didn’t call me an idiot though, I don’t get why you need to be so rude to people on here just because they disagree with you.

Ighalo was signed as cover when Rashford was out injured and has done a good job whenever he has played, sounds like he’s a good influence around the squad and enjoys being here and not complaining. I wouldn’t mind him getting more game time as I think he always has a goal in him and has never let us down but I’m also not bothered if he doesn’t get on.

You mention he was cover for Rashford, however, we renewed him on 1st June, surely we knew Rashford would be fit for the restart at that point?

If we are going to pay millions in loan fees surely we should use him, yet when needing a goal against Copenhagen he wasn’t seen as the answer.

Ole clearly just doesn’t trust the squad, Bruno and Rashford have both looked exghausted but he won’t rest them. Pogba can play 10 and Scot M could play the role Pogba has been playing but he just won’t rest him. I honestly think Ole’s lack of trust in other players has cost us a few games this season. not ole bashing but he needs to rest players because they aren’t able to play every minute of every game and keep it up.
