I forgot when we lose the world has to have fallen in no matter how we perform or how the game goes.

Ole is useless, the players all need spellings and we haven't improved.

I expected a really tough game tonight, I wasn't confident at all and thought we would have a few chances and have to take them, I was surprised how well we played, how many chances we created and it's so bloody disappointing to lose like that. Not sure if that is a worse way to lose than the way we lost against Chelsea or not, definitely hurts more.

I'm glad we got top 4 so this doesn't mean too much but it would have been a great trophy to win for Ole and got a few off his back. A shame then that we didn't put any of them big chances away.

I get people think I have rose tinted glasses, I probably do but I wear my heart of my sleeve and if I think we were crap I'll say, tonight I didn't think we were, I'm sure some of you disagree. The defending for their 2nd goal was tragic and it was good to see Bruno calling Lindelof out.

Peace to all, I know people will disagree, it seems the interviews with pundits and players do agree with my 'blinkered' view though at least so maybe I'm not going mad.

Hargreaves and Ince hate us and said the same, I just get made to feel like an imbecile on here so it’s nice to hear others with similar views.

Yes you had chances but they count for nothing. Sevilla defended brilliantly and scored two great goals.

We missed loads of chances, and defended abysmally for their winner. I don't know why people are trying to make it more complicated than that.

At least I made it through the full 90 minutes of this Seville game. Subs were late, but apart from Mata, who really on that bench was likely to break down the massed ranks of a wily, battle-hardened Seville team?

Young team. Take these experiences and use them.

I used to gently rib you about your optimism, GDS, but I'd take that every day over some of the silliness shown on here after a defeat.

That’s pretty much all I’ve said, missed loads of chances, crap defending for their goal. So many games in the recent past where we didn’t have any chances.

Got some cracking young players and I think the inexperience maybe showed a little tonight, the future does seem to have some brightness to it from what I can see.

They scored more goals so they won the game but the best team lost tonight, sometimes that happens in football, we’ve had games when we have been poor and won, tonight we were good and lost, who ‘deserved it’ is a matter of opinion.

Like I said the chelsea game in the cup we were useless, tonight we were far from that but still lost, I’m disappointed but can see some positives, I think that’s ok isn’t it?

{Ed047's Note - good I guess is about the size of it but not good enough tonight.

I personally didn’t see any positives as too many went missing and no one can have been happy with their own personal performances tonight.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. We didn't score from open play, so that means we played badly. We didn't capitalize on the chances created so that means we played badly. If the tables were turned and we won. The narrative would have been that we were lucky and Sevilla deserved to when based on the amount of chances they created. People see what they want. If you believe the side played well don't let the opinions of others change it.

We were good gds, not only that but if we'd have taken half our chances we would have walked that game, I remember our last tango with sevilla, this could not have been anymore different.

I don't care what anyone says, i'm happy with the season, happy with the manager, happy with the players 😀.

I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic but I definitely agree on the difference between the last game against Sevilla and this, perhaps it would do some people some good to watch that game back and see the progress.

I’m not happy with the season, I think we’ve done better than I expected but getting to 3 semi’s and not getting over the line is hugely disappointing.

GDS2, I think we are seeing two people's views from opposing ends of the spectrum. I actually watched the game with a Liverpool fan who was unbiased enough to admit that we were probably the better side and unlucky on the night not to Bury our chances. Our defence let us down tonight although I don't think sevilla caused us as many problems as we caused them. Don't get to rattled by what others say you are perfectly entitled to your opinion as other are to theirs.

You have some quality players, you need a fair few more, you need the right people to make the right decisions.

You (Not you personally) just have this crazy habit of seeing the first green shoots of something better and turn it into a fully grown tree in 2 minutes.

Then when it goes tits up again toys are out of the pram. Sadly you weren’t great tonight mate, less than 5% conversion rate for all your 40 odd attempts. You can’t live off what ifs.

You’re a massive club, you will come again but need to walk before you start sprinting out the traps.

The right man should be Nagelsmann, Ten Haag, Allegri Ed047, managers of that ilk, not Ole. He will never be good enough ultimately, this is the best it'll get with him, 3rd and possibly a trophy.

He's been here for just under 2 years yet i can't actually see a set style of play, there's no patterns in our play, no fixed system, it's boring and relies heavily on individual brilliance. His tactics are bare minimum.

We need better players aswell, certainly someone like Sancho or Chiesa (as Ed002 says) for RW, a top class DM though Matic has signed a 3yr deal, a LB (Jose Gaya), a CB (JM Gimenez) and the GK issue needs resolving aswell. We are far far away from winning the PL and CL to be honest, especially with the amateurs on board running the club.

Theres no 'right man'out there. As I've always said we just need to compete with the top 2. No one's going to dominate because everyone's got money now. Once United are good to watch ( like tonight) let's enjoy our football and trophies will come. it comes in cycles and will have ours again.
