Don't post here often anymore like I used too, but still read most days. I said at the start of Ole's reign I wasn't convinced with him, nothings changed in that regard. That's not to say I don't think we have improved. It's obvious for anyone to see we are clearly a better side now, play a better style of football and look very dangerous at times. But that being said, we're still a county mile behind the top teams and I genuinely don't think Ole has the quality to get us competing for titles. I like him as a man, but for me he's very tactically naive and his in game management is poor to say the least.

All this talk of Sancho, fair enough he'd bring quality to the side, and I'd be happy to welcome him. But for me it's the defence that's in most need of strengthening right now. Everyone knows we're dangerous going forward even if we are wasteful at times, but the back four is poor.

Maguire I'd vastly overrated imo but probably stays, Lindelof I don't like, I really think he's a poor partner for Maguire, and not an upgrade on Smalling. Shaw has had long enough to prove himself and is still just average. I'd rather we were concentrating on someone like Upamecano than Sancho to be honest. Pogba again just doesn't do enough for me and if we could somehow entice Saul I'd sell Pogba in a heartbeat.

Not sure why Igalo was kept tbh, since then he's barely played and to bring him on in the 93rd when needing an equaliser was just bizarre tonight. I'd love is to go for Jiminez of Wolves to ease the burden on Rashford and Co.

All in all, Ole has done so good things for us, but I don't see a long term future with him in charge if we want to challenge again. An ideal window for me would be to sell Pogba and James (genuinely have no idea why he was signed. Like a headless chicken, has no end product and 9 times from 10 makes the wrong decisions) amongst others. Purchase Upamecano, Saul and Jiminez.

I tend to agree Stand about Ole, you should post more often again mate.

I said at the start I think he will leave us in a better position than he found us, make some tough decisions with regards to getting rid of some players we all didn’t feel like were united players but would ultimately not quite be good enough and fall on his sword leaving us for a better tactician to take over a young side with a bit of experience ready to step up. I’m still of the same opinion I was at the start of the season, he’s improved us but he won’t get us to the top. I wouldn’t get rid just yet though, I think there is still a bit of work to do before someone else takes over.

Not sure why it should be prolonged GDS.

If we want to be serious about winning things again, we have to become serious about putting the right people in charge. There are plenty better out there right now.

Angel,

We tried that with Jose didn’t we and it didn’t work, it takes so long because players like Greenwood and Williams need to get older and experienced and we have a very young squad. The other options is to buy loads of 26-28 year olds and win stuff now but then what do we do in 2-3 years when they are all 30+? I think we have the right person in charge for now, that’s what I was saying, Ole is a decent manager and the players like him and are playing for him, there seems to be a young united (with a small u) squad finally and I actually like a number of our players.

We can blame Ole. But in reality the squad lacks quality options especially going forward. Looking at the bench no option which can come in and affect the game.

{Ed0666's Note - you can blame Ole and you have got plenty of quality kenedy.

Next year will be our year, at the end of next season I think we will say the same. Familiar? With Ole in charge I would be surprised to see us win anything.
