I am a bit worried that DVB is not coming to us, maybe Milan or Roma or Barcelona. I have read a report his dad said he had his heart on this deal and they had been looking around Manchester and its Beautiful. Must be another city he has been shown around?

I am from Manchester, born and bred and family before me. In the late 60’s my dad drove me into Manchester along Chester Road, back then it wasn’t a great place. Manchester is now a fantastic place, a cosmopolitan city with great suburbs. Funny, I have been to Milan, Rome and Barcelona, all great Cities but Manchester is up with them and they are each beautiful for different reasons.

I understood the joke, just see a lot of posts on here from United fans slagging off our city, gets a bit frustrating. If Liverpool fans did the same about their city they would defend it to the hilt.

I'm not from Manchester but have been many times over the years, mainly to watch games but I always stay for the weekend and I love the place its like my 2nd home even though I don't have a place there. I love it more than my hometown.

Im from Birmingham, spent all weekend drinking with pals in salford and town (outdoors obviously) absolutely love the place 👍 did not trip over a single dead pit pony 😉.

I’m with GDS in this, there too much sniping about our great city. Manchester has attitude and the Huge development is turning it into a truly cosmopolitan city. Add that the Uk is one of the most welcoming and tolerant countries in the world then I don’t see why we constantly think players will go elsewhere

I was in Manchester last year -nice hotel in City centre for 2 nights,5 minutes walk from the big Primark store. -I thought it was a very nice city, long time since I was in the centre, 3 times in 25 years maybe - I was there for Little Steven and the disciples of Soul gig -Im hip like that. In a former life I was a regular visitor to Middleton, Clayton and then onto Littleborough lancs. once a month like clockwork as a sales rep.

Interesting ED02.Like many Springsteen fans I got in to L. S - I ve met him, Springsteen and most of ESB. LS certainly surrounds himself with great musicians -even vocalist Jessie Wagner has a great R+B album out now. Thanks for the updates, keep safe.

{Ed002's Note - I am not a Springsteen fan but there was an album last year that I did buy. I understand someone has mailed me the JW album but I don't think it has arrived yet. I saw them in London (when Paul McCartney showed up) as a guest of the keyboard player. And I went along with an old guitarist chum to a show in Paris three ago or so.}

I saw McCartney in 1990, and Springsteen in 1993, both sensational gigs ed002, legendary performers.
