Dear Eds and fellow members, I have seen various rumours and debates about Thiago coming to Utd or Lpool. He has been great for Bayern, so I understand the allure. My question is how come a player like Doucoure is not attracting as much attention or being linked to these clubs as much as Thiago? He can play similar positions, he is EPL proven and is younger? Maybe I am being naive, so I as for some enlightenment if you guys have the time.

Because Thiago is world class, would be available for €30m and has won pretty much everything there is to win in football (including the Champions league in his last competitive match) whilst the other is pretty average, has won nothing, has no caps for his national team and got relegated last year.

Redseven I think the term world class has lost its value over the last few years. In the follow up; it's like me basically describing why People should consider Jones who has roughly won all that Thiago has and has been capped by his national team over say Benoit Badiashile. :P :) :D lol

DSG, you have a point there. Was thinking the uncertainties of Thiago acclimatizing with the EPL and England in General would be a factor.

Mbd, whilst I agree that the term might be overused somewhat, one only needs eyes to see that Thiago is a far better player and his CV only serves to strengthen this argument. There is a reason that Thiago has been a key player in two of the most successful club sides of the past decade whilst the other is currently a championship player.

Is this even a comparison thiago is many levels above even at 29. You simply need to watch a game for 5 mins of them both snd you can see that. Crazy comparison.
