Right question time 🤣. with it looking less likely that we will be getting new additions to the squad, everyone is going to have to step up and improve if we are to repeat or even better last years results. With that in mind who do you all EXPECT to see a big improvement from this season?

For me I'd say DeGea I think the pressure of Henderson will re focus him and even if he ain't Super Dave and just cuts out the errors he will help us massively.

{Ed004's Note - Would love Mctominay to kick on another level and develop his game as a holding midfielder. Would really help balance out the team with a bit of mobility defensively behind Pogba and Bruno}

Every time I have seen mcT play that role he looks lost compared to Matic. His reading of the game and positional sense is poor.

The goalkeeping situation will be interesting. De Gea and Henderson will push each other and both knows that neither can afford any mistakes.

As Ed said, McTominay being groomed as a defensive midfielder would be great. He has excellent physique, fantastic attitude and covers a lot of ground. Just need to work on his passing and reading of the game.

I expect Martial to fight for the Golden boot (Never thought I would say that) .

We finally have some good creative players which will see us playing entertaining football.

Rashford has to step up this season. I don’t like to bash him but he just isn’t as good as we all want him to be. I respect him massively for all his work off the pitch but he really needs to step it up this season for me.

Just replicating those numbers will be immense.

Don’t let the facts get in the way, he had 5 crap games so he’s useless and overrated now!

Maguire will hopefully step up, and I’d like to see Mengi in the team by the end of the year like Greenwood was last season, take the opportunities given and force his way in.

I can’t wait for Saturday, anyone would think we’ve got a dreadful squad the way some people talk, we have the players to be really exciting.

Mctominay a journeyman pro at best?

He’s been a United since a young boy and been rated by managers and knowledgeable football men from Sir Alex, LVG and Jose. He’s technically decent, a fantastic athlete. He’s stood out and held his own in big games games against world Class players. He’s played international football as a centre half, can play most midfield roles.

But for you he’s just a journeyman. Glad you’re not a united scout.

Basically he didn’t cost 200m so he’s useless, I love kids coming through the academy and being given a chance to prove themselves, it is what this club has been built on, but we do it and then the fans write the player off after a few bad games and want a big money signing to replace him. Kids will always go through had runs of form but you have to trust them and let them learn.

Williams is the other one, the amount of people I’ve read say we only have Shaw at left back is a joke, Williams has a couple of poor games in the EL after hardly playing for 4 months, but before that he had been pushing shaw for his place. I’d rather he is given a chance to come good than spending millions on someone (although I wouldn’t mind him switching to right back either and signing a decent priced left back) .

{Ed004's Note - The issue with Williams is his inability to use his left foot and provide the width a normal/bog standard left back can offer. Think the majority of people are noting he should be moved over to the right hand side, not that he should be written of or sold}
