Are Manchester United looking at any more players for Left Back now that Reguillon is heading to Spurs? I agree with us not putting in the clauses Madrid wanted but surely we could have moved in a week or so earlier to get the deal done before Spurs could have an opportunity to put an offer on the table as well.

It seems the club just enjoy playing the long game and taking the fun out of all transfers. Van de Beek was efficient but I would put that down to Van der Sars / Ajax's proactivity more than ours.

Not sure what the situation is with Telles after his representatives were in England a few weeks ago. Would appreciate any response from the Ed's on the latest info.

I doubt there are any alternatives available for a reasonable price except for Telles. We need someone to seriously challenge Shaw or cover when he is injured (which will happen) . can't have a right footed right back in Williams playing on the wrong side as regular cover. The end of last season exposed that. The kid needs to be back on his favoured side covering for AWB.

It's worrying now as it seems all we want to do is focus on dragging out the Sancho saga.

I wonder if all our transfer “news” is purely papers trying to sell copy rather than us blundering our way around the market. We are the biggest news in club football so anything we do sells.

An alternative view maybe that we will no longer be held to ransom in the buying for selling of players. Who knows.

We have known what we needed months and months ago.
Another poor window with umteen excuses again.
Long season ahead we will be in a battle to finish 4th.

I don't get this moaning from some fans . We gave a new contract to Matic and as Ed002 said a holding midfielder is not a priority for this transfer window, center back is not priority too. I think left back wasnt too.
Our coach, last months, showed us (with not playing the squad players and with good results ofcourse) that he has a clearly (and good) first eleven and his problem is squad players who didn't trust .
This summer the targets are crystal clear i think, a midfielder like Grealish (thanks god we took VDB instead) and Sancho. Two players that will give us more quality and more options in the middle and up front. Another sighning except these two positions would be a plus.
But now some people come here moaning because there are some names in the pappers in other positions that we maybe want them or maybe not . And because some people have their preferences which are different to what the coach wants.
So in reality the problem is instead of moaning about the team the Glazers and Woodward you should moan about the coach and his team. He is the one who don't understand how important an attacking left back is, or how important a top holding midfielder is and instead he wants to throw so much money to Sancho instead of 2 or 3 positions. In reality he is your problem, but you don't want to be there so you are moaning about others.

Herrera, what you call as moaning is nothing more than a reflection of the frustration on how our transfer dealings have been since Woodward and co have stepped in.

"So in reality the problem is instead of moaning about the team the Glazers and Woodward you should moan about the coach and his team. " so no talking about the team, the Glazers or Woodward. Only the coaching staff is responsible - really? How did you come to the conclusion on what Ole really wants or not?

We have seen over the past couple of years on how we have dealt with player recruitment even with experienced managers - signing players looking for a final payday, signing 2nd/ 3rd choice players, giving contracts to players who should have long been gone, dragging transfer negotiations which take forever, not extending key players contracts or leaving it too late and end up losing them on a free. Whom would you blame for all of this mess?

The manager and coaching team can only work with what they got and can only ask for players they think will improve the squad and it's up to our skilled negotiators and whoever is dealing with transfers to get it done in a timely manner and allow the manager and coaching staff to do their jobs and get results on the pitch. Fair enough if the manager fails to get the results even after strengthening the team with sufficient quality and depth then he is to be criticized and needs to go.

The manager has to be backed in the transfer window before criticizing.

What do you think about last summer's transfer window?
No creative player was signed, sold our top scorer without replacing.
Herrera was not replaced, bullying clubs by making cheap offers for players etc, .
We haven't signed a top RW for years, that too under any manager.

So there's only one thing common here, which is the amateur decision makers.

TrueRedDevil also factor in how we failed to address various positions on the pitch for far too long - Midfield, RB, ST. Half a dozen defenders who need moving on, Pogba wanting to leave for ages and we being stubborn to hold onto him and his agent just abusing Man United. The biggest of them all is that we still got an injury ridden Jones still at the club for almost a decade and we are not able to move him on.

Exactly LPU, We turned down an offer around 25m for Rojo from Everton last year. It just highlights the poor decisions.

Very much doubt we turned down 25mil for Rojo. Even United aren’t that stupid surely.

But the club had two clear targets, AM and Sancho yet some are moaning because we don't buy a center back or a left back etc, these positions are plus.
I don't say we are not amateurs.
I say that these were the priorities for coach, an AM and right winger (Sancho) . Ole is the one who can't insert a proactive style to our team. Befause if he had this (a proactive style) his priorities would be different.
He only knows that way, the creatively from creative players thought the middle and fast players to interchange and to counter attack up front. So with this as a fact its not coincidence his priorities are AM and right winger.
You are moaning about the team who tries to prioritize the positions the manager and his stuff wants. You don't want to go there, it must be always be Woodys fault.
