Well we had some really bad performances over the past couple of years and that probably was the worst of them all. We can all blame the board, the players and everyone else and rightfully so but, Ole and his coaching staff are way out of their depth.

I wonder what sort of coaching is been provided to our defenders that they can't even get the basics right on the pitch. Everyone agrees our defensive players have been poor but surely not each and every defender would be so poor at the basics of defending.

We have seen some poor, lackluster performances during Ole's reign - no urgency, no tempo, poor retention of possession, no width offered by neither fullbacks, no aerial threat with virtually 0 crosses, untimely and wrong substitutions, poor tactics and in-game management and some really shambolic individual mistakes. The players that we have on the team are surely not that bad and that raises the question about Ole and the coaching staff.

Does changing the coaching staff help performances on the pitch, sure it will but we have also seen a trend under Ole where the team goes on a fantastic run with some very good performances and then instantly go on a run of awful performances which raises the question on Ole's management of his players because some of the performances we've seen have been worse than bad.

We really need a DOF who has total control of footballing matters as a priority and also a better manager and coaches to really bring the best of the current bunch who are probably not as bad as they seem to be.

You can blame Ole for a lot of things, some of it is warranted but to blame the manager for poor individual mistakes and not being able to do the basics is going a bit far, these are highly paid, professional footballers, how you can blame the manager because our overpaid, high priced, bang average centre back and club captain can't head a ball back to the goalkeeper is going too far
Ole is not blameless in our poor performances but to try and pin stuff like that on him is ridiculous.

Ole is accountable for the performance/ s whether you like it or not, actually all 3 of the pathetic PL performances. It isn’t acceptable and yesterday MUST be the end of the emotional roller coaster ride, which we will get with such a poor coach. Those players are poorly organised with no clear method, who coaches defence? Ole should be gone this morning, should be clearing his desk as we speak, but all the emotion that will bring out is going to be too much for the decision makers.

Enough of this trying to justify a club playing legend as manager, if the club want to move forward they definitely need a change in decision makers but we must get a manager in now, right now, who knows what they are doing. Look at Bielsa and Ancelotti, then see the utter mess our team was and has been this season and for large parts of last.

Red Man, if you read my reply without your ole hating glasses on, I said ole is not blameless in all this but to blame him for individual errors and poor decision making is ridiculous, if you honestly think he taught Harry Maguire how to head a ball like he tried to back to de gea then that's just ridiculous, there is a lot of blame on his shoulders but trying to pin crap like that on him is ridiculous, at what point do these players have to stand up and take the blame for their terrible performances and decision making? I will repeat, ole is not blameless in all this but individual errors and stupid decision making is not his fault and can't be placed on his shoulders as well.

I don’t hate anyone including Ole. Ole is just patently the wrong manager and it makes me devastated to see us so disorganised as we have been this season. Yesterday was one of the worst I have seen in 52 years and I was at the City 6.1. Accountability is the managers no matter what, Ole is accountable for all the blunders, he may not be responsible for the mistakes, as he isn’t on the pitch but is accountable. That’s what you get as a manager and leader.

Ole supposedly coached them, organised them, shambles.

darv, if those individual mistakes keep happening very often in a season then the manager and coaching staff are very much responsible. And if the mistakes are part of basic defending skills then more so.

Morover it is not just about individual mistakes, defense doesn't look organized and the way they defend set pieces and corners is awful and comical at the same time. If you look at most of our awful performances you will see there is no intensity, no creativity, giving the ball away far too cheaply time and again, no desire coupled with untimely bad substitutions and in game management. Ultimately Ole has to take responsibility for the performances on the pitch one way or the other.

If you take the game yesterday for example, it didn't make sense to take off Fernandes and leave Pogba on the pitch. Given our shambolic defending and given his intent was damage limitation then he could have brought on one of Fred/ McTominay along with another CB to give more protection but he brought on both Fred and McTominay, what was he trying to do?

Initially I rooted for Ole but he has proved time and again that he is not capable and I don't fault him for been given the job but ultimately it will all come down upon his shoulders at the end of the day. Don't know how long he is going to survive - a couple more of such performances and Woodward is lying in wait for the opportunity to sack him probably. Honestly, I would first sack Woodward and co. for the transfer mess they have created over the past 8 yrs or so.
