So a few days ago I suggested that if the club sign a first choice RW such as Sancho (not happening now) as well as an 18 year old wide player such as Stevanovic, Amad Traore or Pellistri that we could see Dan James leave on loan to get first team experience while the 18 year old would be our 4th choice option in the first team squad for a wide position behind Rashford, Greenwood and our new RW signing.

A few suggested that was unlikely, that we wouldn't put a 18 year from another league into our first team squad.

Well now without the signing of a player such as Sancho we are by the looks of things going to sign TWO 18 year olds (Traore and Pellistri) and that the club considers them first team signings.

What's concerning is that both Traore and Pellistri play primarily on the right, which means we will have three 18 years olds along with Greenwood as options for the right wing. At least had we signed Stevanovic he plays on the left.

Isn't DJ's preferred position LW? Same as Chong?

Dan James won't leave unfortunately. He is rated and he is wanting to fight for his place. Leeds as you probably know put an offer in to loan and we turned them down.

As for the RW, Sarr is now been mooted, but Utd want a loan/ Watford want permanent. Watford know Utd's game which is loan for 1 year and send him back to try again for Sancho and rightly so are not having it. Also Dembele 1 year loan as long as Dembele signs a new deal at Barce so his price doesn't drop with there being 1 less year on his deal.

he would be better of going to leeds on loan to learn of a great manager.

Weren't these young kids supposed to be in addition to an established RW and not in place of one?!

So no RW, no CB, no DCM Ole must now give serious consideration to changing the formation.

We are now in survival mode once again. Ole has tried playing a more expensive, possession based brand of football and It was found out after four games.

He must now get the best from what he's got. An abundance of average CB's that can be made better by strength in numbers, some very good attacking midfielders that can still all play together in the correct formation and some very good options up front.

This window must now spell the end of the 4-2-3-1. We haven't signed a CB, DCM or RW which was needed to make this formation viable. Ole must find a way to strengthen our defence without blunting our attack. Continuing to play Pogba as a holding midfielder and pushing our full backs high up the pitch leaving our CB's exposed is a recipe for disaster.

The window has been an utter shambles, the negativity, panic and desperation which has engulfed the Club has decimated the start to our season but in a few hours it will all be over. We mustn't feel sorry for ourselves and Ole has still got some very good options. He must now get the best out of what he has. Despite a catastrophic start win the game in hand and we're still in the mix.

Ole must now demonstrate resilience, leadership and despite being badly let down by incompetent idiots he must navigate our football Club out of these troubled waters and not capitulate like those before him.

Our expectations have already been tempered and even the most optimistic of fans must realise that we are in a dog fight for 4th position at best.
