Maguire looks absolutely shot at the minute if he's played on Saturday I'll be shocked, he needs time out of the team and get his head together. He looked lost coming off the pitch then. But knowing Ole he'll be the 1st name on the team sheet.

I think Ole needs to have a sit down with him and take him out the limelight for a bit. It will not do him any good playing him on Saturday. There’s added pressure on the team to get a result after the last match too. He’s lost all confidence and he’s not focused at all. Going by the those tackles anyway. Ole knows his job is on the line and now is the best time to make this decision. He has the perfect excuse to take him out the team and give the armband to someone else.

Was just thinking that, maybe it’s time to leave him out for a few weeks and go with a combination of Bailly, Lindelof and tuanzebe. Maguire although not everyone’s cup of tea was never this bad and he looks completely broken mentally. He played every game last year and then he the Greece incident and I think he needs time to recover. Ole should take him in and explain it’s for his own good, as we don’t want to damage his confidence any further. We have huge games coming up an everyone needs to be right both physically and mentally, maguire would be a huge handicap in his current form. Hopefully a few weeks away will help him recover, refocus and come back stronger. Just not sure ole has the strength to do what needs to be done for the good of both Harry and united.

Conpletely agree. The arm band needs removing and he needs dropping. Someone then needs to give his head a wobble and see if he can return a player worth keeping. Otherwise, based on what I've seen so far this year he needs replacing permanently.

I think aside from a footballing terms we need to look at this from a wellness point of view (viewing this from the outside) . Whatever is going on he is not the same person/ player when he joined and the majority of last year and it is obvious that everything is weighing on him including the pressure of the fans.
He needs to be removed and looked after by the club and I think if this does not happen it is a dereliction of care from the club as I think it has been from England to have played him.
Hope he gets well, and back to his best challenging for a place in the team.

Good post brad.
He has had a media spotlight on him for all the wrong reasons for the past 2 months.
Some are built to tough it out and play through iut. Others need to be taken out.
The staff will know best. The club will give him all the support he needs i'm sure.

Better to take him out of the firing line now so he can get himself right -and count himself lucky he's not playing in front of 70 000 fans at the moment or at a packed away ground . would be a lot worse I imagine.

His head is elsewhere at the moment. He looks shot. If he plays at the weekend and has a shocker he will need to be rested for his own sake.
