Not read any other posts on the game however will give my 2 penneth.
Very poor, only when West brom came out did we look more threatening, same old issues which don't look like changing, we cannot break teams down, we are a one trick pony team and hope we can counter attack on teams.

Why on earth we at home vs WBA or in fact at home vs anyone need x2 DM I've no idea. DvDB sat on the bench every week who would add some much needed creativity and guile alongside Bruno, he must be wondering why he bothered joining.

Front 3 are redundant almost vs a team who sit in, yes they look great on a counter with pace and space but nothing offered other than hope something comes off.

We have no plan b or identity or any idea how to win most games still.
Nobody in MF on the half turn turning defence into attack, nobody fizzing balls into the strikers or a longer ball, mixing it up, Bruno cannot do that all alone he gets frustrated.

No pressing, no urgency, no risk taking, this isn't just a 1 match reaction we have become accustomed to this for all of Oles reign.

Unfortunately we are thinking being above a poor starting City is some sort of barometere, we have accepted mediocrity and it won't be long before we see another drubbing come our way.

Yes a wins a win and 4 off 4th, the fact we look at 4th as some sort of achievement is terrible in itself. The league is wide open this season it seems yet we still look 4 or 5 1st team players away from competing or the right players with the right attitude are sat on a bench, too many disinterested players on the pitch when it doesn't go our way.

2 tough away games to come now who if they've any sense will sit in amd hit our poor slow turning MF and defence on the break.

Anyway rant over, as always ill continue to hope but this is still a long way back for us.

This isn’t about the players, yes we need several new ones in key positions, but all about what we are doing with the players we have. We don’t cross because our tactics don’t include that, add to that our Centre Forward only likes the ball at his feet, so we endlessly, meaninglessly pass across the front of defences in the hope we can get through. Two defensive midfield players at home to a promoted, poor team in the relegation zone, what is that about? A good £40m player our main summer purchase, sits on the bench because the manager can’t figure out how to play him. It is in front of our eyes, a total lack of a plan on how to play at home and that is down to who is in charge not the players.

This season it is wide open, yet we sit with someone in charge who is tactically managerially inconsistent and at times downright inept. The agony, the ignominy just goes on for another week and it’s all down to sentimental emotional decisions being made.

I think the 2 dms fred and matic was partly due to them being in training for 2 weeks, no internationals so fresh, that's understandable imo.

Reality is i think ole is very committed to play with two dms to protect maguire and lindelof, also i think he sees van de beek as a number 10, where bruno plays, maybe he can fit in where mata plays but even then you're still forcing him into the team.

Youre right about struggling against teams that sit in, its been said quite a lot, we are crying out for a player on that right hand side to hold his position out wide and stretch defences to create spaces.

Mata can't do that as we all know, greenwood can do it kind of but youd rather have him near goal with his finishing ability. Awb isn't going to give you that from full back.

Right wing is the issue that's going to continuously plague us until its resolved with a signing.

Very poor once again. With the squad we have we should be putting 3 or 4 past West Brom. Ole just isn’t getting enough out of the players we have, and the defensive setup is so frustrating.

Bruno somehow got MOTM again but I think he was very poor. He’s not the same player we had at the end of last season. He seemed to give the ball away every time he touched it in the first half, almost gave away a penalty and missed one. It was a Pogba-like performance from him.

Interesting few weeks coming up with some tricky away games followed by PSG, City and Leeds.

I agree on the coaching Red Man but the players need to take there fair share of responsibility aswell, too many look disinterested, not good enough wether they coached well or not.

I agree with the sentiments expressed in all of these posts.

Ole is out of his depth. He’s got very little tactical knowledge and he clearly isn’t motivating the players. The fact he has to motivate the players is a different issue, however.

The holding midfielders and the lazy, disinterested and out of form Martial sums it up. How you can leave van de Beek on the bench and Cavani I will never know. The bench has been stronger than the first team on numerous occasions this season. It’s as if he’s trying to p*** us all off.

The coaching for me is the problem as our play doesn’t have anyone running in behind the defence not stretching the opposition as both martial and Rashford love to come deep to receive the ball crowding the midfield meaning less space. For me we have to play cavani or Greenwood as our main striker or at least somebody who is willing to make a run breaking their lines of defence and basically not minding not seeing the ball stretching the opposition. We can all see it but for some reason ole and his coaching staff are not rectifying it.

Greenwood was unwell. Add him in for mata makes a big difference and more balance.

Bissska is turning into Valencia with the ball. Run forward 10 yards, stop, pass safe backwards or inside.

We are missing a top class holding midfielder who can pass but has more covering pace than Matic. Unless you have that, we are too open to the counter attack.

Fernandes could be dropped for a game on this form. Martial or rashford too. Get vdb and cavani into the side and see how that works.

In terms of points, the top 2 have played an extra game, so leicester and Liverpool are equivolent to top if they win their game in hand. There are many teams not far away from the top - a run of wins will transform your position quickly. Who knows where we find a run if wins from though.
