There was big positive for me last night and that was Cavani.

His movement and workrate are a joy to watch.

When you see Cavani playing, the idea that Martial is a centre forward is quite funny.

I had doubts about Cavani earlier on but his workrate and attitude is top class.

That chip yesterday, my word was absolutely class and deserved a goal.

His movement is something our young strikers should learn from.

I was watching last night just wishing I was in the stadium to see his movement, that’s one of the things I can’t wait for, I don’t think tv does players like him justice, it’s going to be a pleasure to watch.

Only one doubt I have about Cavani and that's his ability to stay fit.

He is top drawer.

I agree GDS, even watching on the tv I found myself just following Cavani and I was ignoring what was happening around the ball.

Whats more is he combines it with skill and vision. On that showing for me he should be our first choice centre forward.

Players like Cavani and Bruno who never stop moving both in attack and defense, leaving it all on the pitch are why I have no time for lazy players like Pogcrap and Martial who just stand still or wander around or half heartedly and feebly try to close someone down or make a run with no real intent or aggression. Rubbish.

Mancman,

I was the same haha following cavani round, as a striker myself I love seeing how it should be done, I think I might be too old to put it into practice and make it at the top level now though 😂.

And here I thought that he was a panic buy, too expensive, too old, injured a lot, haven't played a game in 8 months and his career is over. 😂.

Trololo, you don't think it was a panic buy? A guy, available on a free for I don't know how long but we wait until a few hours before the window shuts to sign him? Yeah, they knew what they were doing.

Nobody questioned how good a player he is, but rightfully were worried about his injury record, given his age, it was complete viable. He has only played a handful of games yet so let's see how he goes first.

Angel we have been deprived of quality for years. Unfortunatly the best forwards that have been at the club in the last 8 years are ibra and cavani. They are the only wc forwards that have represented us and we only got them in the twilight of their careers. Cavani was not playing for psg for the last 6 months there and it had little to do with injury.

It was mainly to do with their season ending in February. He’s a top quality player and it’s a shame we have got him so late in his career.

I just saw he had a lot of "injuries" on his record over his last year at PSG.

Either way, I will thoroughly enjoy watching him, a fantastic player who will win games on his own at times.

Angelred, people didn't even wait to see him in action and then judge.
How often are Rashford and Martial injured? I think the biggest question was his age, but in these days, i'm not sure that matters as much - class is class.
How old are Vardy, Ronaldo, Ibra etc?

Judge what? All that was said was about his injury record, surely it's a valid concern given his age and the amount of games he has missed.

Nobody saying he is finished, we all know he is class. It was just a fans concern.

Judge on whether it was a good transfer or not.
Again, how much games did Martial and Rashfors miss? Shaw, Pogba? I haven't made a research, but if I had to guess, percentage wise, I would say Cavani has less injuries than any of them.
