We all know that we desperately need a proper CF to help out Martial and Cavani till Greenwood can take up that role. If we decide not to make a deal with the devil that is Raiola, Haaland is pretty much out of reach. Who else do you guys think we should go after to fill the role of Man Utd’s CF?

We bought zlatan, cavani, ighalo etc. to help martial, rashford and now greenwood to secure the strikers role. Martial and rashford haven't progressed a lot in that role after a lot of opportunities.

Question is what has the coaching staff done to solve the issues, especially in terms of off the the ball movement, positioning, hold up and linking play. Rashford and martial seem to have missed a lot in terms of developing in that position partly because of being fast tracked to the first team.

Overall problem is the team look disjointed especially when faced against teams who sit back and absorb pressure. This is where link up play becomes important as a team and all that comes down to coaching.

What type of CF we get will depend entirely on how we want to set up going forward.

You could go for a false 9 type striker who'll play deeper and pull a defender out to create space for wide forwards to attack. That could work well with the likes of Rashford and Greenwood in the future. Liverpool do this with Firmino dropping deeper and dragging a CB out for Mane and Salah to attack the space.

We could go for a more traditional target man, someone who'll bully defenders and create space behind them for someone like Bruno to attack and maybe get a shot off or find a through ball to a wide forward like Rashford cutting in.

We could go for another wide forward and play with a split strike duo, maybe someone left footed who can cut in from the right like Rashford does on the left. The concern is you would want someone who is 27 or older so as to not totally block Greenwoods path.

Which way we chose to go will depend on how the manager wants to set up going forward.

Rashford is never going to be a striker Mumbai . Martial is not consistent enough and Cavani is not a long term solution. I would love someone like Calvert Lewin as he has all the attributes Martial lacks.

Rashfords finishin is improvin and that was his issue. The best way for us is go the Liverpool at the moment with the type of strikers/ wingers we have in Mason, Martial and Rashford.

Cavani can also do a job for us on temp basis! .

Haaland has got a buy out clause of around 50 million hasn't he which means there is no way his next move would to be United (even if he wanted to) only when his value is around 120-150 million or more providing his career is on track will United -City-Madrid-Barca be allowed into the race to sign him.

Haaland is a striker of such quality you just sign him if you have a chance and then you adjust your attack to make the most out of him.

He is a future Balon d'Or winner if not a future multiple winner. He has at least 10 years at the very highest level ahead of him.

That said I think he'll end up elsewhere, the 50m clause means that he will have his pick of club's more or less, which isn't something most players of that quality have. Without that clause he would be 150m+ easily. A few years ago Dortmund sold Dembele to Barcelona for 140m, in my opinion both Sancho and Haaland have more potential so should normally be expected to go for a similar or higher fee. So his clause opens up the chance to move to a club that would ordinarily be priced out of any deal.

So with him having his choice of club's within reason I doubt he'd move to us.

He's a boyhood Leeds fan, our celebrated former captain ended his father's career, and we are a long way off being a side to challenge for the league and UCL on a yearly basis.

I can see hi moving to Real Madrid (although they seem to want Mbappe more) or Man City (his dad's former club) .

Unfortunately for us I think Real Madrid will look to sign either Mbappe or Haaland next summer. However, depending on who they sign the other one might well end up in the EPL, with Liverpool linked to Mbappe if Real Madrid sign Haaland. Or Man City linked to Haaland if Real Madrid sign Mbappe.

Shappy

I don’t believe Keane ended his fathers career, it was the other knee that finished was it not?

City will need to replace Aguero

I can’t see such large fees being likely for some time with the financial hit most clubs have taken. Cash is the key element of any business at this time and I can’t see any clubs paying 150m.

In terms of attractiveness of our club, he already knows Ole but I think Ole will have to prove he is going to be able to deliver the big trophies to bring top players to the club. I also think how DvB, Pogba, Romero, Henderson have been treated might put some off.

Moving to Madrid, United, City isn't in Raiolas interest - and the player himself said he wants to try a few different leagues. Juve makes more sense next - they can afford the buy out clause and then when he's a 130-150 mill player you let him talk to Madrid, United, PSG, City.

Top Dutch journalist said that was Raiolas plan for De Ligt. keep the big money move up your sleeve . If the players career goes the way they think then another good 18 months at Juve and 2-3 clubs would pay 100 + for De Ligt . same clubs that wouldn't pay that when he was leaving Ajax for 70 million.
