Nice to see we signed Kai Rooney, whether it works out only time will tell, but it would be great if he could one day walk in his father's footsteps.

History suggests very few kids of great footballers breakout of their fathers shadow and make it at the highest level, and even less surpass their fathers achievements.

I hope Kai proves me wrong, and how on to have a fantastic career. But it's so much harder for the kids of famous footballers to succeed under the shadow of their fathers.

I never suggested the opposite, but it would be great, even if he gets one game in a United shirt. Doubt he'll ever live up to his dad, not many footballers will.
