DvB done ok last night, first half was ok I thought the game passed him in the second half .
I still think his best position is further up the pitch but he won't get bruno out the team .
He can imo play cm and I have a feeling that is maybe where united are looking to use him .
But he will need to adapt his game to do that well in thd EPL imo . Might see the best of him next season if he is prepared to stick about and work at it .

The game dusnt pass him by Jred, he was constantly doing good stuff. All match he was getting in good positions, finding space and making himself available only to be ignored and the pass go elsewhere often leading to giving the ball away.

When he did get on the ball good things happened. He played quick, incisive often progressive passes which is exactly what is lacking when we play McFred, Pogba or Matic.

So why is dvb ignored? Why aren't the players instructed to make the play go through him?

Anyone?

Only saw about 60 mins of the match and I thought DVB was the best player on the pitch. Don't think I saw him give the ball away once, doesn't hang onto it too long. Thought he was good but because he didn't hit a 40 yard screamer people overlook it. Maybe don't watch the details close enough.

Ok Donny didn’t set the world alight last night but he rarely gives the ball away and doesn’t do anything frustrating or lack intelligence and would be in the my first 11 every day of the week.

Donny is your typical highlight reel player with multiple tricks and turns in the middle of the pitch to no actual use. And like you pointed out he doesn't play those Hollywood passes. So it's easier for him to go unnoticed in a game. I watched until around the 40 minutes mark, might have finished the first half actually, and he was quite good. Not exceptional but fairly good.

But the likelihood of seeing him playing significant minutes in another match is probably a month away. So no wonder he can't fully make a mark on games when he gets decent game time once every fortnight if he is lucky.

Best player on the pitch? Not for me .
Like I said he had an ok game it was an ok team performance .
Mctom definitely had a better game imo .

Jred, you missed my point. The reason it looks like it passed him by is because people weren't passing to him when he was in good positions and in space ready to receive the pass.

Instead, they either kept it to themselves or passed to some one else in a worse position than DvB. This happened numerous times. My question was does anyone know why this kept happening when he does good things when he gets the ball?
