Been absent for a while but always watching the games, we all know the obvious, we are rocking so far.
Credit firstly to the manager and the players.

But this an appreciation post for Fred, the guy has been enormous. Him and Cavani where everywhere yesterday.

I hope we can keep the consistency and maintain the players fresh.

Martial and Rashford need to follow Cavani, his work off the ball is phenomenal.

I hope we agree terms to extend his contract another year. It would be nice to loan a RW this January, unless There is a plan for Dialo to get some game time?

AnotherOne, unfortunately that's one of Ole's weakness - in-game management. He overplays his key players most times even when he has quality options on the bench.

Per Ole's last press conference, Diallo will be unleashed soon.
Ole said he is already making a difference while training with the senior group.
And also his technical ability and decision making are remarkable for his age.

Hopefully he can sort out the long standing Right Wing issue.

MH - Ole said Diallo will make his first team debut this season so hopefully he's not too far away. We have difficult fixtures in both competitions. I'd imagine his game time (and others) will much depend on how far we go in the cup comps.

Trying to be slightly subjective here. My gut instinct is that Ole's in game management isn't great. I often feel like he should change things or make subs sooner.

Yet I saw a table the other day displaying the most number of points won from a losing position.

United are top by quite some way. This season we have won 21 points from games in which we went behind in. Winning 7 of the 10 games in which we conceded first.

The second best side in the league in that respect is Liverpool winning 10 points from a losing position.

Pep lauded for his tactical brilliance (while also having the deepest squad) has only won 2 points this season from a losing position.

Over half our points this season have been won AFTER going behind and having to adjust to win the game.

When I realised that I was surprised, as from watching it doesn't feel like that. But on closer inspection we do make subtle changes during the game, a change in shape, a shift of focus, deploying different tactics and occasionally making a change in personal.

It's lead me to wonder, is Ole's seeming lack of will to throw on subs due to a lack of tactical understanding, or because he doesn't feel the players he has on his bench are significantly better than those on the field?

Seeing that he has typically stuck to using the same few players time and again though out his time as manager, maybe he just down have as much faith in the likes of Lingard, James and Mata as the rest of us do.

How about Pep nKlopp don’t go behind as often as us and don’t require the opposition to score to wake up the team. Has any other team in the top half of the table conceded first as much as we have?
