I had a 10 quid on them winning 8 nil and 10 nil. Put it on at half time before I saw subs.

Absolutely delighted with result and I know it is against a Southampton side badly hit by injuries and then red cards but we an only beat who is in front of us.

Delighted Bruno got his goal and Martial was brilliant when he came on!

Keep improving

GGMU.

Yeah I had a bet on 10-0. 3 mins injury time?!?! What? Anyway, I’m still mildly pleased with the result.

7 different goal scorers including goals for Cavani, Rashford, Martial and Bruno. Can’t ask for too much more than that.

Shaw and Cavani were both fantastic once again and as annoying as it was for 20 odd minutes, I understand why Ole took them off. Top scorers in the league now and our goal difference is looking a little more healthy too.

Lovely finish by Dan James too.

I was never be fan of kicking someone when in the floor and i am really disappointed we scored 9 goals. I don't say play passes at 3-0 but at 6-0 you have a big win and make a fair play too. SAF texted Hassenhutl after 0-9 with Leicester because he knows the bad feeling and i am really sad he has to deal with another 9-0 lose.

Beginners mistake backing 8 or 10 nil wins, and ignoring 9 goal wins
Its February and we have won nine nil to go joint top. I used to enjoy live chat now it just feels like turkeys hoping for Christmas
I didn't go on live chat but il have a wild guess why Fred and mctom after the red card, martial is crap and ole in game management is bad .
Its February we are joint top after a nine nil home win.

Herrera,

Are you taking the p***? I can’t tell.

I don't care about what you are thinking GDS2. I didn't like the score and think 6-0 would be fine. I don't like hitting someone which is already in the floor and humiliate him. that's my opinion, can i have my opinion?

Herrera do you remember how it felt to lose the league on goal difference.

In that season had we managed a 9-0 win we would already have won 21 league titles.

There is more than one way to look at it. Southampton under their current manager have conceded 9 goals in a game previously. If they haven't learned from that then that's on them. They could have come out after half time and made the subs gone with a deep tight back four, sit the midfield deep, go very defensive and try and keep the score respectable. 4-0 down at half-time and down to 10 mem. They knew at that point they weren't getting back into it. It was poor management from their side. Now he'll have to pick them up from a humiliating defeat.

Make no mistakes there are 19 other managers in the league and everyone of them would give their left bollock to beat United 9-0.

That's football, some would argue only losing 6-0 because the opposition took pity on you and just knocked the ball about for 30 minutes is more insulting than for them to keep playing and scoring more.

I did feel sorry for Southampton, what with sendings off and even disallowed goal, but end of the day you ha e to be professional and think about the goal difference.

Herrera, I don't feel sorry for them.
It was one of their own player who was reckless and made a horrible tackle.

So herrera but your talking boloxy mate.

Im sick of us not going for the kill. Wanting more goals. Its about time the players shown a bit and actually kept going for more goals.

I understand what here’s is saying, it was a bit sadistic, but goal difference is important, I wish we’d scored 12.

Herrera, I think that’s a weird way to view sport. They aren’t children, they are paid elite athletes. Did you also dislike beating Arsenal 8-2?

14.) 03 Feb 2021
03 Feb 2021 08:37:04
Come on, it's Southampton. Really annoying team who consistently make niggling little foul after foul.
First red was for a horrendous "tackle".
I'm not a particularly bitter person but 1976 Cup Final? Bobby Stokes?
I'm made up it was 9 - 0.

Herrera pal, you are entitled to your opinion and rightly so, and in my opinion, your opinion is pure BS. Goal difference plays a huge part.

16.) 03 Feb 2021
03 Feb 2021 09:58:48
It’s more disrespectful to stop playing and pass it around at 6-0 in my opinion, I understand feeling sorry for them but they are professional footballers and we should have gone for 20 if time allowed.

I feel sorry for the young lad Jankewitz, while it was a horrible tackle and fully deserving of a red card. This was his full debut, against Manchester United at Old Trafford. He was clearly pumped and wanted to make a good impression, made a bad decision and attempted to win a ball he wasn't going to get and made a mess of it less than 2 minutes into he debut.

He then had to spend 90 minutes sitting in the dressing room listening to his team get spanked, probably blaming himself. I hope Ralph has thrown an arm around him and told him its not his fault.

So I certainly feel sorry for him. But make no mistake if the tables were turned and Southampton had the chance of a 9-0 win against us they would have gone for it. Even knowing what it feels like to be on the end of that kind of result.

Yes, they were missing a few players, yet they still had 7 of their first 11 starting and they also played Djenepo who plays regularly and Redmond on the bench. So it is what it is, we will likely have to play at some point this season with a depleted team. I also don't remember our former manager showing much mercy earlier in the season when inflicting a 6-1 defeat on us after we had Martial sent off.

03 Feb 2021 11:20:26
Shappy,

I would have been more embarrassed if Spurs had passed the ball around feeling sorry for us!

19.) 03 Feb 2021
03 Feb 2021 11:55:20
Ofcourse there will be an "excuse", the goal difference. Suddenly you all remembered the goal difference and that's fair enough. For me the chances to finish with a better goal difference than City are slim but i say it again, fair enough because you never know.
But don't try to put words in others mouth. None said play passes for a half. I think we all saw the same match and the same cheating of Martial at 6-0 and we then scored 3 goals in the last 6 minutes when they played with 9 players. I am just said that this was the time to make a fair play, at 87. Its 6-0, the other team plays with 10 men for the hole match and you dive to win a penalty. For me its unacceptable and i am really disappointed.

20.) 03 Feb 2021
03 Feb 2021 12:15:09
Don’t feel sorry for any of them. They get paid thousands a week to play football. The dream for most of us.

21.) 03 Feb 2021
03 Feb 2021 12:24:16
Herrera are you ok?

Martial got a touch on hin that was enough to send hin down. He was 1v1 about to score anyway.

Red card might have been harsh but he clearly tripped him, accident or not its a pen.

Maybe when we get 1 up we should just go 10 men behind the ball.

22.) 03 Feb 2021
03 Feb 2021 13:02:20
I think some people are programmed to find fault and complain about our performances and results. Then we beat a team 9-0 and suddenly they don't know what to say, so find fault in us scoring lots of goals.

Bad Ole, Bad. How dare you show up another manager. What a terrible person you are. Couldn't you have just scored 6 then left it there?

23.) 03 Feb 2021
03 Feb 2021 13:06:03
Your team won 9-0 and you’re disappointed, maybe you need to find some excuses to stop watching as if you weren’t happy with that I doubt you ever will be. It’s possible to be happy and also think Martial maybe went down a bit too easy.
