I have a question for everyone here.
Would you rather:
A) Finish 2nd in the league but not win any trophy
OR
B) Finish 3rd/ 4th and win one of Europa League or FA Cup. And which cup would you prefer to win?

B) since it brings us a trophy. Being 2nd, 3rd or 4th doesn't make much difference, especially this season, where the point difference between them will be very small.

I know that FA cup is important to English people, and it does mean we went trough some tough games, but I still rate EL higher.

Silly question. If you don’t finish 1st then it doesn’t matter to me where you finish. Trophies every day of the week. Not bothered which trophy.

Has to be B for me. Although I wouldn't be pleased with that league position I suppose it secures champions league and a cup on top would be a step in the right direction. As for which cup, probably just edge towards fa Cup.

People compare Ole’s tactics to Jose but watching Spurs is truly dreadful, he’s even finished raver off on the Spurs page.

His record is phenomenal but his recent record is poor. Clearly he has talent but he refuses to see he might be wrong, his denial of the penalty is plain daft, the treatment of Alli reflects what he has done at other clubs: he seems to find a player to isolate.

I think Ole wants to play attractive football but for whatever reason it has been a struggle. I don’t think Jose wants to do that, it’s always safety first.

Winning Trophies makes a winning mentality, it's a no brainer, trophies every day of the week for me.
You win nothing for finishing 2nd.

I for one prefer OGS in charge over Jose. At least I can like OGS and despite the critic the football is better. Never warmed to Jose at Utd - but to be fair to him don’t think he ever really enjoyed his time with us either.

Agree AJH. Jose will have a riot on his hands if he doesn't win a trophy this season. They have also heavily invested in the squad and so far the return has been poor. I think there is a fantastic player in Alli but he needs to be managed with a soft touch like most of the younger players these days. Not Jose's style at all.

Spurs rely almost entirely on Kane and Son. Without Kane Spurs are toothless.

I think Jose is stuck in that awkward place of continuing to do what made him successful. Which makes sense to a degree. However, football has changed a lot since the early 2000's. While the mentality of the players has changed dramatically as well.

Jose needs to see if he can adapt and change to keep pace with the changing football landscape.

Most managers are only ever really at the top for 10 years maybe 12 at most before their methods are worked out, countered and the football landscape changes. At that point those managers either need to change and adapt to stay relevant or they will fade into the background.

Why are you guys so obsessed with Jose? It's almost getting near to the level of "that LFC fan" who posted a few days ago about Fergie influencing referees to get us favourable decisions against Southampton.

Jose and our identity as a club never really aligned. He won a few trophies for us. Our board never went fully in with him and when things took a sour turn, we sacked him. End of.

MOVE ON LADS

No point bringing him up when I simply asked whether you guys would prefer to forget about the cups and go all in for an unlikely title charge.

Not sure why that would be a debate.

B. Because you qualify for CL and win a trophy.

FA Cup over Europa for me. More traditional and less gruelling on the season.

Wazza completely agree.
2nd? No glory in that at all.
Winning trophies is the name of the game.
We get 4 chances every season of course you have your priorities but we should be aiming to win at least 1 every season. 2nd is worth a bit more cash than 3rd or 4th but nothing more than that.

Agreed Ken if we're not first then it's irrelevant whether we finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th as long as we get CL qualification, but there's been no trophy for that since Arsenal stopped finishing in the top 4.
