I am interested how we treat the new signings.
Van be Beek has hardly had a run in the team.
Telles seems to be a back up to Luke Shaw
Diallo is not deemed ready yet.
Pellestri has not appeared yet.
Do we have so much money that we can afford to have all these players not helping out?
It seems there is something odd about the onboarding and recruitment policy.

Motz1 Donny has done nothing to warrant a starting 11 spot and has let games pass him by whenever he has been given the chance. He passes sideways and backwards constantly.
Telles is a good player but Shaw has so far IMO been the best LB in the league and is starting ahead of Telles on merit. Diallo is a kid, as is Pellestri. I don't think your post makes much sense mate.

Van de beek I think will get more chances when pogba leaves, but I agree he needs more minutes but he was poor last night and looked knackered after 55 mins. That will come with games.

Telles- does he deserve to be ahead of shaw at the moment? Not for me. Shaw has been excellent recently with the added competition.

Diallo- a signing for the future, he’s an 18 year old kid who I hope to see a lot more off. I guess you could say the same for Pellistri.

Don’t really get why you’re grumbling.

VDB and Telles have both been given ample opportunities and haven't taken them. Why would you play Telles ahead or Shaw and where would VDB? Neither would get in to my first 11. Telles is a very average full back and VDB looks lost everytime he plays.
Diallo has only just stepped off the plane and needs time to settle in. Pellistri is a young prospect who also needs time to settle in and is out on loan at Alaves to gain experience.
I thought we had a shocker in the transfer summer window, we needed proven quality that would get in the first 11.
I don't even think Ole wanted VDB.

I think vdb is just not able to get into the team.
He has had very limited Portbury to play with the 1st 11 and when he has come in has not been outstanding.
Telles any other season would have hit in a shaw was not great but he has been one of our best players all season imo definitely in to 3.
Pellistrini has gone on loan and diallo looks about 12 and is only in the door with 2 v good u23 games behind him.
Looking at the other recruitment in oles time
Ighalo was a stop gap loan. He has left now.
Maguire world record fee was just madness.
Awb. A great defender in 1v1 situations but careless with his positioning at times and his attacking and final ball needs improving radically.
Bruno has been fantastic.
Cavani another stop gap but has been very good.
Personally if we are to continue to look at epl players and or young English players I like the following players
Ward prowse, Harvey barns, ndiddi, White, Hudson odoi, sancho, rice, grealish.
The issue we still have is creating space in our squad to accommodate 2 or 3 of those. Say rice sancho or grealish and a cb.
We still have to shift permanently Jesse, pierera, dalot, mata Jones romero and matic possibly. Not easy done.
Its a weird one because if you knew what shape we played or wanted to play it would be easier to look at what positions need attention but we chop and change do often its hard to know imo.

Both Pellistri and Diallo were obviously signed as a reaction to missing out on Sancho, but its clear while both are talented neither are ready for the first 11 just yet.

Telles has done well and he has pushed Shaw into his best form since he signed. That's unfortunate for Telles, but is good for us. Telles isn't in the forst team based on form, currently Shaw is playing better than him and that's the point of having a squad.

Donny I agree is slightly disappointing, but in fairness he hasn't set the world alight when he has played. I think coming from a much more sedate league like the Eredivisie means it can take time for a player to get up to speed. Look how it took Fred a season to bed in. Plus I feel Donny is more a replacement for Pogba who hasn't yet left, so he is up against a player who on current form is playing better than him. Or at least is having more impact in games.

MOTZ1

1. VDB has more to offer than Fred/ McTominay but he doesn't suit the safety-first approach of Ole.
2. Telles is a fantastic crosser of the ball but crossing from the flanks is not Ole's style of play.
3. Both Diallo/ Pellestri are one for the future although with the amount of money spent on Diallo we might see him early this season as everyone seems impressed with him so far.

I think our transfer strategy has been a lot better since Ole came on although some of the money spent to strengthen the first team could have been spent more wisely, overall it's been good. Especially our academy seems to be buzzing with a couple of fantastic talents.

We have done well to recruit some amazing young talents but do we have a plan for them? The way VDB/ Tuanzebe/ Williams are being treated by Ole and how he doesn't seem to be bold with his team selections suggests it's going to be hardship for any talent coming out of the academy to have a look in with the first team, unless that one is really special.

Mate, Telles is back up because Shaw is playing so well. Diallo and Pellestri are kids and have just arrived, did you expect them to be thrown in straight away?

DVDB is clearly the odd one out, we was established, came for big money and doesn't get game. I'll absolutely accept that there is something weird with that situation but as for the others, not sure what you were expecting.
