A game of 2 halves, an ugly first 45 and a much more assured second 45.

Not much to say about that game, Rashford looked livelier, as did Dan James and Martial once against n added very little other than 1 shot.

I’m looking forward to the bigger games coming up, we seem to struggle more against smaller teams, if we can beat Chelsea I think top 4 will look very likely. Most teams are dropping points, Leicester are on a good run, City are on fire, and whilst West Ham are currently 4th I don’t see them sustaining it.

Arsenal and Spurs are too far behind, as are Liverpool probably, not necessarily for top 4 but to catch us. Everton are the outside bet but I see City, us, Chelsea and Leicester taking the top 4 spots.

Don't rule out Liverpool just yet, its only 9 points.

Fairplay to james, thought he had a poor first half but made up for it with the goal. If him playing on the right means we can keep rashford in his best position on the left, ill take that.

Pogba and cavani will be back soon hopefully for the run in.

I think liverpool will still find a way to get into the top 4 probably at the expense of chelsea.

Big gap now to both Chelsea and Liverpool. We need to lose 3 more games than them. Big game next week. Lose and we are in danger of being sucked into a fight. Win and we look strong faves to secure top 4 imo.
Like you ajh I enjoyed the 2nd half.
A bit more pace in our play. Magic although his legs are going drives the team forward and passes forward better than fred or mctom from that defensive midfield role.
Martial with goals I could sort of put up with but martial minus the goals is just bad for the eyes.
Pleased for James. He liked lively. Shaw was again superb and has been all season. Looks fit and strong.
In my opinion there is a good team there bursting to get out.

I think James offered quite a bit from the right, he looked like an actual winger, which was nice.

Cavani would have probably had a field day, although in fairness to AM there was one time James failed to get the cross in where AM had got across his man, and would have probably scored a tap in.

Fantastic result today. Playing after Thurs night away in europe is tough, and against a team that has that pace on the break was a good solid win.

I'm enjoying watching us this season. We are in a good place and a good solid run in will be a good progressive season for this team and squad.

There’s no difference between playing Wednesday/ Saturday than there is Thursday/ Sunday. It’s footballing nonsense.

Really felt for James at times given the fact he had no one in the box. He put in one cracking cross which the keeper spilled and regathered but martial had just jogged towards the edge of the box. How can he watch cavani and take nothing from it. Cavani would break his neck to score, martial wouldn’t break stride. Really fed up watching him at the moment. No point having all the talent if you aren’t going to work.

Sorry fresh. Agree. Also a challenge for teams playing away in europe wed and then sat. It is why the big clubs have deep strong squads, but is still a week to recognize a good win even if the opposition does not seem the best.

Fresh,

Quite often teams struggle when playing Wednesday - Saturday as well, the difference is that with the Europa league it’s always Thursday - Sunday whereas in the CL you may have a Wednesday - Saturday once or twice a year and the others could Tuesday - Saturday or Wednesday - Sunday. It does make a difference and always has.
