The game again highlighted or age old problem of trying to breakdown a deep sitting we organized team.
If our forwards insist on cutting inside all day, both full backs must overlap wide, Fred or McT then provide cover. We need more than to rely on a Bruno piece of magic. A lot of speculation about D. Rice, but for me McTominay does that job for us, l would be investing the money on another creative MF first, to play alongside McT, or a wide right player.

Redcon I think tonight showed that we do miss Pogba. You could see Mctominay and fred playing quite hig at times, especially before our goal. Couldn’t help but think pogba would have created a hell of a lot more.

Not everyone’s cup of tea Pogba, but we have missed him and our form has dropped off since he’s been out. Hopefully back for midweek.

A motivated and happy Pogba makes this team click that much is clear. Sadly he is rarely that.

I noticed tonight the ball coming across the face of goal
And not a striker in sight. A proper and fit No9 would score a hatful for this Utd side.

I was actually thinking during the game that had West Ham had lingard they would have got a goal or 2, but had we had Haaland we would have scored 3 or 4.

A striker of his quality we score a bucket load as mentioned above.
