To be fair I think Jose will talk nonsense to detract from the fact his team are in turmoil. He will blame anything and anyone, its not the first time his players have play acted against us look at martial's sending off in the game at OT.

Following the same old script is Jose. deflection from another poor performance.

Yes Tim, Jose always finds something to blame. This time it was Ole.

{Ed077's Note - Who cares. I'm just happy that this time we are the victors and they cant win a thing despite the great season Kane and Son are having.}

Yep. He want to take a look at why his squad is underperforming so badly. Pretty much accused Ole of child abuse for hypothetically not feeding them 🤣🙈

The mentality of this man utd squad cannot be questioned. The setback of the decisions in the first half would rattle many teams. The combination of no foul on rash, very similar foul ruling out fantastic goal on VAR review, and then Son scoring the goal. You could see it affected the team and bench.

But the second half there was only really one team playing. We even tried to score for tottenham because they were doing so badly! Glad we're not dissecting the crazy decisions, and instead remembering a proper performance that was truely enjoyable to watch. Please Cavani, stay another year. You know you want to.

Mourinho is a man who is struggling to understand why do what he used to do isn't working anymore.

But rather than be humble and realise the need to change and learn he just keeps stubbornly sticking to the methods that worked for him 15 years ago.

Serie A is the only top league in Europe where I can see Jose being a success again.

Other than that maybe a crack at international football, as his tactics better suit knockout football as opposed to league football.

{Ed077's Note - why Serie A Shaps?}

Ole's post-match comments on the disallowed goal were a bit odd (100% should have stood, I mean more the father/ son angle) but Mourinho's were typical Mourinho. Complex, cryptic, bizarre and just another attempt to draw attention. It always works as we always end up talking about them.
I enjoyed watching Spurs at the start of the season and even ad them down as dark horses to win something - Kane and Son were the best partnership in the league. Since then the whole Ali fallout, the bizarre substitutions and defensive approach. it's not going to end well. Not sure if Mourinho will get the axe, but that stadium isn't going to pay for itself sadly, so it seems unlikely Kane will stay and they'll snap up Ing or someone of that ilk.

{Ed077's Note - the inability to defend leads is quite atypical and unheard of for a Mourinho team.}

Ed077, I think Jose's style of play suits the Italian league far better than some other top leagues.

Then of course there is the issue that he has burnt quite a few bridges in other leagues.

In La Liga I don't see Real Madrid ever having him back, by extension Barcelona and Atletico will never hire him. So if he went back to La Liga it would be at a club like Valencia which means he would be unlikely to win the league there.

He doesn't strike me as the kind of manager Bayern Munich would ever consider. While the other Bundesliga teams wouldn't suit Jose's ego or be able to pay his wages. So I don't ever see him in the Bundesliga.

PSG are a possible shout in Ligue 1, and he could go there. But it seems that they are more interested in younger coaches with Tuchel and Pochettino their last two appointments. He could go to PSG, but Ligue 1 is the weakest of the top 5 leagues in terms of prestige, it would be a step down for Jose, I'm not sure his ego will be totally happy with that.

In England he won't go back to Chelsea or United. City and Liverpool would never consider him and he is burning this bridges at Spurs. Really that only leaves Leicester or Arsenal as possible destinations and I doubt either would seriously consider him.

Which really just leaves Italy where his reputation is still as a top class manager and he hasn't burned his bridges. I could see Inter, AC Milan, Napoli and possibly Juventus all considering him if they needed a new coach.

It just seems like the obvious choice, a league where he still stands a chance to get a job at a top club with the ability to win the league, coupled with a style of play that is more acceptable and even appreciated there.

{Ed077's Note - Serie A isnt much defensive now-a-days either though.}

it isn't as defensive as it was in the 90's, but it is still the most defensive league in Europe. While I would also say that there isn't a country in the world as appreciative as Italy when it come to defensive tactical play.

While the Spanish and the British find it boring, the Italians see a beauty to it. I think as a defensive coach you will get far more time and respect in Italy than you would anywhere else.

José's treble with Inter Milan was based on low block, two banks of four sit deep and tight football. He was excellent at it. His side played with a commitment to win every 50/ 50, they even expected to win the 60/ 40's against them. The Italians loved it and still hold him in high regard. Even those who aren't Inter fans think he's a great manager, and appreciated his football.

Whereas, Spurs fans started questioning him within months. They may have been prepared to accept it for a short while if it means winning something for the first time in 30 odd years. But if not then bump him off down the road, is their attitude.
