Well gents, it's been a pleasure but I can no longer say I will be a registered supporter of our once great club. I hope we get a massive pints deduction, fine and then every player asks to leave.

Utterly shameful behaviour - the football love affair dies today.

{Ed0666's Note - I think you’ve succinctly expressed what most honorable football fans are thinking fresh. Thankyou

Same here. I'm ashamed and couldn't have expressed my feelings better than Gary Neville did.

There will be so much refining and alteration of the existing proposition during negotiation in order to get a compromise that works for most.
Its not for the faint hearted these type of radical changes. But radical changes are needed in order to build a sustainable model works.
No point in saying I'm out until we know what the final proposals are. All the pundits that are up in arms did make the move to the premiership and to a cl that had more than league winners in it.
Progression will happen progression should happen and it will look very different from the starting point put out yesterday.
Let there be no panic. Let's see what the compromise proposals are when they come. Sounds exciting to me with some obvious alterations.
Lots bemoaned the epl until we started winning it.
Lads on here from every corner of the world sporting united over their local teams. I'm looking forward to see what direction they take and how they do it.

Sorry ken but that’s bollox. However you dress it up it’s bollox. That our club can even consider this option is a disgrace. The founding of the EPL didn’t so many other clubs possibly facing bankruptcy due to the financial pyramid collapsing. Bollox.

Sounds anything but exciting to me Ken. The beauty of football in this country is the strength in depth of the 4 leagues, the competition in the National League and thriving grass roots football. They’ve all been s*** on from a great height.

How dare a team like Spurs say they are a Super League club when they’ve one bugger all. Clubs like Villa and Forest are much bigger clubs who will now be thrust into some sort of second string domestic league?

The current model needed tweaking to become more sustainable. Tougher FFP laws and more fair distribution of capital across the leagues, especially following the C.V.

So we are now in the position that, apparently, Roma and Villareal will be going straight through to the Europa League final. PSG crowned Champions League winners and god knows what domestically. West Ham champions?

Weren't there howls of derision back in 56-57 when we first decided to join a European competition against the wishes of the FA, who said it would destroy the integrity of the English game and then threaten to dock points.

The foundation of the epl did exactly that scooby.
Im interested to see what the final propossls will be. I'd like to think they are a far way removed from the proposals laid out yesterday.
Once I know what they are I'll know if I'm in favour until then I'll reserve judgement.
Plenty of posters and editors on this site scoff at the EL or league Cup. Not worth winning they say only for losers. Why enter. We're too good. Play the reserves. That's what some eds and posters have been saying. Its what many elitist fans say. Lots of double standards and lots of 2 faced or 3 faced remarks to the small comps and wanting to dis respect those comps.
All I'm saying is wait and see it will be a far cry from the original proposal and the current model is failing. Small clubs are failing. Things need to change. They don't need to change as set out yesterday but its a starting point and there will be lots of negotiating and compromising to be done on all sides to find a more sustainable model.

This has no upside to me.

Where's the incentive? Arsenal are going to finish 10th and be in it. Why would players move to a club not playing in it? Where's the incentive for smaller clubs moving forward? That you might be one of 5 clubs throughout Europe that is thrown a bone? Where's the incentive to win the league or do as best as you can of qualification is guaranteed?

Those European nights at old Trafford were special. Granted not lately but playing Madrid now and again is a lot more exciting then seeing them every year. It's rubs the shine off it.

This looks like a big poker game and both sides are bluffing. The players won't stand for being barred from world cups, so they have to get for a on board. Seeing as they are run by dinosaurs and are allergic to too much change and giving away power, I doubt it.

This is just a blatant money grab by foreign owners. Based on American ideas of promotion or relegation. I see Joel Glazer is vice chairman of the new league and that makes me sick. It's bad enough he owns us now he's actually going to be the public face or the super league?

It's not been picked on football merit. It's what your turnover is. It's more telling they announce this when no fans are at games. They would be getting players and no ammount of sky hitting the mute button would save them.

I'm disgusted by the greed and the club's throwing away the domestic game.

Fresh the strength of the 4 league system.
They are drowning mate in the bottom 2 league for sure and many championship clubs. If you think that's a strength your very much mistaken.
