Shappy likes me to produce a quote, so how about Scholes. Scholes said what I said, he doesn't agree with Shappy. It only enhances the view about Ole's negative and as Ken puts it substitute attitude.

"I get the impression he's a little bit happy with that draw, I don't think he should be, not against a Leeds team without probably their best player in Raphinha. If it's this time next year and United are going close for the league, it should be used as practice for a run-in where there's big pressure.

"You need to go to these places and win games. They should be trying to take Manchester City all the way. All the way and as far as they possibly can now to put pressure on. Use it as practice and as pressure to win those big games.

"When the run-in comes next season, and they are a little bit closer, going there with a performance like that won't be acceptable. "

Scholes believes United could have made City sweat if they won all their remaining games, including Sunday's match at Leeds.

He compared the situation to when Liverpool ran City within one point of the title in the 2018/ 19

Scholes said : "You go back to the year before Liverpool won the league, the way they took Manchester City all the way.

"I know United possibly can't do that with City [this season] but at least take them as far as you can, have every intention of winning the next five games.

"You might make them sweat a little bit if they drop points next week and the week after, who knows, it can get a little bit close.

"But today, just a little bit disappointing. ".

Scholes shows why this team and this manager at the moment at least are not true contenders.

Leeds are an average middle of the table team at best. We should be beating them. Yet again we saw that if Bruno is not firing on all cylinders the rest lack creativity and the drive to get a win.

Would Pep have been happy with a draw? Definitely not. Would Sir Alex? Again definitely not. Would Keane or Gary Neville have been satisfied with that limp performance? Again no chance.

We need another creative attacking midfielder and for me Grealish is perfect. We also need a manager to be more adventurous with

a) his initial formation and team
b) strategy
c) his substitutes both in timing of their introduction and how attacking they ought to be

This season we have drawn too many games which were eminently winnable.
Next season is going to be a lot harder. Chelsea will invest and have a proper manager, Liverpool will also invest and have a proper defence with Van Djik back. City will buy a top centre forward. Spurs will get a decent manager and could not be as bad as these last two months. Leicester may not spend big but have a clever scouting department and buy players who fit into the system wanted by a tactically astute manager.

So no. That performance against Leeds was not good enough.

Well we had won the previous 5 games so 16 points from a possible 18 has really put the pressure on hasn’t it? Oh no, because they won it months ago and the recent results have pretty much secured top 4 (one more win needed) and we should finish top 2.

Just have your own opinion, Scholes has is and others have theirs, doesn’t mean one is correct.

That's right Salford. Everyone else will be better than us next year 🙄.

GDS

We were top when the manager waved the white flag saying we couldn’t win it. What attitude is that? Happy with a draw at Leeds when what Scholes said is true?

It’s all ok because Saint Solskjaer is at the helm.

Red Man, so at 10am yesterday I challenged you to find these quotes from Ole giving his support for the Glazers.

Then 11 hours later this is the best you can come up with.

I'm guessing you can't find any quotes from Ole with him giving his backing to the Glazers then? 😂.

{Ed014's Note - you would have to be seriously off your nut to think Ole doesn’t support them. 🤦‍♂️

Ed014, the thing was that Red Man said Ole reaffirmed his support for them. I challenged him to find the quote from Ole saying he supports them.

Whether Ole does or doesn't support them we don't know.

All we know is that Ole has said more or less the same things that all previous Manchester United managers have said about the owners WHILE employed by them. Almost as if they are being feed things to say by a press officer. They all say "the owners have supported me" or words to those effect. They never say they support the owners, I'd imagine they wouldn't want to involve themselves in the politics of it all.

Obviously some managers have since changed their tune now they are no longer employed by the club.

{Ed014's Note - I know Shaps, Ole for me really is the yes man of all yes men though.

He’s lucked a job plenty would dream of and is winging his way through it and loving every minute of being the manager of Manchester United.

ED014,

I agree with you. I bet he even takes an apple in everyday to give to Woodward.

{Ed014's Note - that wouldn’t surprise me in the least MH
