Controversial opinion here, but if it was down to me and we had to spend big on an English winger this summer. Then I'd go for Bukayo Saka over Jadon Sancho every time.

Hugely impressed by him, his versatility to play LB, LWB, LW and RW (which I think is his best position) without any real drop off in form is exceptional.

Massive talent, and has a great attitude.

My fear with sancho is that he will end up like another martial…incredibly talented but lacking in mentality and application, especially when times are tough.

I don't think Sancho lacks motivation.
He left the comfort zone of England and moved to a new country to get regular first team football.
I see a player with real ambition and self-trust more than anything.

Although the price tag is huge, we must see it as an investment as he can sort out the RW position for 10 or more years.
Also mind that he is not even at his peak yet. Let's hope he fulfills his potential and becomes a top player with us.

I don't think Sancho lacks motivation, the rumours are he has got a little too big for his boots and already thinks he has made it. If true that would be a concern.

Welsh Red Devil, what are you on about? Are you suggesting that only players for teams that finished above us are worth signing?

Or are you trying to say players like VvD signed from mid table sides like Southampton aren't good enough to improve sides fighting at the top of the league?

Saka is a top level talent, is still only 19 and has been Arsenal's standout player for two years. If you think he is mediocre then you clearly haven't been watching him.

I seem to have been misquoted…I didn’t say sancho lacks motivation, I just have a concern that like martial he just won’t make the most of his ability and will become comfortable. Martial has all the ability but he doesn’t show it consistently enough, instead he just flits in and out of games. There have been reports of a few disciplinary issues with sancho and that’s why I was drawing a comparison.

Oh we are some way off the summit of everest for sure, but we have at least got our climbing gear on and we are on our way, you're somewhere near the base of the mountain at the gift shop browsing the discount section!
