Looks like we have to sell DDG as he isn't even good enough to beat off the competition from a young keeper who finished 10th last season in La Liga.

To be fair Shappy, of the twelve players we have at the Euros, only three have made the starting line up so far James, McT and Lindelof.

With Bruno and Pogba expected starters that would only make five out of twelve internationals good enough for the first eleven, and to round it off the guy we are hoping to spend £80million on, can't even get in the match day squad.

At least ddg is 2nd choice and not 3rd behind a keeper just relegated.
It really is a situation that's needs sorting at the club. Ole needs to make his choice and sell the other or sell both and buy another.
To win a league a top keeper really makes a huge difference. Over the course of a season they will win you several points a season and cost you few.
Either way he needs to choose. Clarity is needed in i would argue is the most important position to fill well in any team. Very few leagues are won by teams with inconsistent goalkeepers. Even the year Blackburn won it Tim flower's was inspired.
Its often a position taken for granted but when it's not quite right the whole defence is wobbly and that runs through the rest of the team.
Its oles biggest problem of the summer and I genuinely believe its the decision that will have the most baring on his future.
It all starts with the keeper. Get that right at united and you'll always have a chance imo.

Grim, doesn't that just highlight how poor our squad is?

We have a 25 man squad, of which only 5 or 6 are good enough to start for their national side.

While in fairness International football is a step down from the EPL standard if you ask me as well.

Ken, Henderson is the second choice not Johnstone. It was Johnstone who was added once it was clear Pope wouldn't make it.

That said had Pope been fit then Henderson would have been third choice.

All that said though, if Henderson had played as first choice for United all season then I would expect he would be first choice for England now.

Personally I think he is England's best keeper. While we have seen that playing for a top side often gives you an advantage when it comes to international selection. Rightly or wrongly.

I agree that Ole can't keep dilly-dallying with the keeper choice. He has to nail his colours to the mast and stick with it. Moving the other keeper on. It's the one position where genuine competition for the starting spot just causes indecision within the keepers which is detrimental to their performances.

Henderson has dropped out of the England squad injured, I assume he would have been 2nd choice if he has been fit, Southgate loves Pickford and he has never let England down.

Henderson is not even Uniteds best goalkeeper, let alone Englands.

Nick Pope is Englands best Goalkeeper, although I think even if he was fit Southgate would have still started Pickford.

She Kurtis. Johnston played the friendly before the tournament not hendo and he played well. All the noise coming from the squad is that hendo is 3rd choice which sounds about right he is imo the 3rd best of those 3.

Henderson hasn't trained while with England due to injury. I'd imagine that's why Johnstone played ahead of him.

He was training last week and the week before it was all over the news with shots of him training with the other keepers. Where did you get the info he hadn't trained? Someone teasing you shappy there is any amount of footage of him training and he was on the bench both that night and Sunday.

While he was named on the bench due to competition rules that state you HAVE to name 2 keepers on your bench.

He wasn’t on the bench on Sunday. He was named as per uefa rules but he wasn’t on the bench.
