Just like to hear people's view on the topic of pogba for man utd v pogba for France

I can't understand how each pundit or so called expert bang on about how pogba is better for France because there is better players around him. no one mentions the fact that international football is totally different to the Premiership.

Pogba is a far better player when given time on the ball. simple. He doesn't get that time in the premiership which is plain to see week in week out when he plays he constantly gets caught in possession.

In Italy he had pirlo beside him in a team averaging 60/ 70% possession most games course he's going to look world class.

Just find it strange non of these pundits mention this.

Its a debate that rages on Jayo.
No doubting his ability but the intensity of the epl and the speed at which teams attack just doesn't suit him. His flashes of brilliance can win comes but he is not the difference maker often enough for me.
He doesn't want to do the dirty stuff enough and is too often found wanting when the chips are down.

Spot on jay. Have said something similar down the page. If pressed pogba is average as his awareness is poor. He likes the flashy Hollywood pass and long range screamers part of the game but it counts for nothing if you don’t do the basics well.

I think Pogba last night was the Pogba of United. Capable of sublime moments of magic coupled with a player who fails in his duties to the team in the bigger picture. He is an individual rather than a cog in a team. For me no team with him will never become more than the sum of its parts.

Oakbark has it spot on for me. Pogba is capable of pure magic in brief flashes, but spends much of the game not doing anything special, and is easily caught out if pressed.

I was as excited as anyone when he came back, but he just isn't the player I thought he was, and that's just as true for France, it's just less noticeable there.

According to Roy Keane yesterday on Post match ITV - he (POGBA) requires "men around him" like with kante in France or pirlo in Juve so it has been identified over and above the France scenario.
