See the season tickets are sold out for another year. The Glazers have won, and I blame GDS!

{Ed014's Note - I know I could only get two! Raging 😡

It’s always my fault.

That doesn't make any sense, through reading these pages I thought the style of play was so atrocious that surely no one would pay thousands of pounds for a season ticket to endure such dire football every week.

Are all United supporters masochists? 😂.

We are lucky to have owners that invest so much money into the team. Over a billion in the at 8 years. Not many clubs have spent more.
Get a bunch of venture capitalists on the case which is likely the only other realistic ownership option and then we can sit back and watch the asset stripping and selling the rights of the stadium name etc.

Agree Ken, but not many clubs make as much as we do. The issue is that owners see clubs as assets / businesses and fans do not. If I had a business worth £4B, would I not want a return?
The argument that all the money made by the club should stay within the club is useless if it is considered a business.

The main issue is with the running of the club- the poor decisions made in mgmt and recruitment over the last few years and the poor housekeeping in that time- condition of old Trafford, training center, use of tech and moving with the times etc. It is here where fans can blame the owners and rightly so, as they have not taken enough care to ensure the asset performs well in the pitch.

Ken, I don't have a problem with the amount of money the owners have made available in recent years. I do question the ambition as previously we have spent significantly less in the seasons we have qualified for the UCL. Which seems to suggest that simply getting UCL football seems to be the target.

My concern is a lack of leadership, vision and direction from the top of the club. The terrible running of the club that has alienated fans, players and their agents and made the successful running of the club a much harder task. The seeming endless pursuit of sponsorship deals at the expense of actually planning and running the football side of the club. Signing the 3rd, 4th or 5th choice options because they were either cheaper or a better fit for the "Brand" at the expense of their fit for the team.

Simply put a well run club with the base the club had 8 years ago as defending champions and with the close to 1.2Bn spent in transfer fees alone since then we should have a much stronger and more competitive squad. Many clubs have built better squads with half the budget and without coming from a position of strength.

I think other clubs just caught up. Sure, Utd have tailed off in recent years, but City and Liverpool (even Leicester) have risen to the fore. We were spoilt for a long time with only Arsenal getting in the way. Things are different now and a hell of a lot of dosh has been p. ed up the wall on average players. Is that the Glazier’s fault? I don’t think so. Still woefully unconvinced by the current management/ coaching set-up, but I do feel Ole deserves another window. Let’s see what happens when these 2-3 long-mooted problem areas in the team are addressed in his vision. If Utd aren’t challenging by season end, he can have no excuses.

Ummmm… if I was a business owner and my manager spent 20% of my revenue poorly, then it is super irresponsible of me not to do anything about it.

Ownership comes with responsibilities beyond signing cheques.

I think the idea that we are going for cheaper options is nonsense. Half and more our starting eleven are world record transfers or transfers that belongs to top 5 in each position.
Its clear that they think paying a lot of money for the best is the best way to make the best team. They try to make "galacticos" buying what they think the best option available for each position like Bissaka Shaw De Gea Maguire Pogba Bruno Matic.

Shappy

Season tickets sold when Moyes was manager and even Shappy’s favourite Mourinho. Buying them doesn’t indicate a vindication of the managers style of play but a whole host of situations. Season ticket sales used to be a major part of income, now they are not and the challenge will actually be whether there will be the same level of investment from sponsors if the style doesn’t improve this coming season. There are plenty of murmurs about concern about how much we are looking for versus the product. Season tickets are often family tickets, sat with the same seats for years and there is a massive reluctance to give them up because the exact ones may not be available again. There is also a natural hope in United fans it will be better next season, heck my family and I bought tickets in the70’s after relegation.

And if someone dare to mention that appointment and continuing with Ole is a lack of ambitions from the owners, Shappy would be up in arms😂😂😂😂.

No Shappy, you were not fishing, just trying, unsuccessfully, to be clever in getting your point over. Make a post that puts your point of view over in a semi sarcastic way, then claim fishing when called out.
Personally Season ticket sales are not the game changer for the Glazers, it’s what happens to all the other purchases, TV money and sponsorship. It also means nothing with regard to the manager either.

Red Man, reread this:

"That doesn't make any sense, through reading these pages I thought the style of play was so atrocious that surely no one would pay thousands of pounds for a season ticket to endure such dire football every week.

Are all United supporters masochists? 😂"

And tell me honestly that you can't see the big fat worm on the end of that hook🤣🤣🤣.
