UA can I just say something here as someone who isn’t English. Your post alone is one of the main reason people from Ireland, Scotland and wales don’t get behind England at major tournaments. Rashford is a kid who’s given so much to the country over the past year, and he didn’t intentionally miss a penalty in a big game. Let’s hang those three out to dry now. Three incredibly talented players who will give everything when selected.

However, the three lads who missed will be ripped to shreds in press and by “fans” as well. When it’s all rosy for the national team, England fans are great, but a tiny bit of adversity and some attitudes towards players can be disgusting.

Caolan, i am from India. I supported England when they had greats like Scholes, Lampard, Beckham, Rooney etc. I am not going to waste it on wannabes like your golden boy. I said it now and i have said it countless times (maybe Tony is keeping count😂😂) Rashford cannot be trusted in front of goal, he usually needs 10 attempts before miskicking one past the goalkeeper and he only had one chance yesterday so i just knew he was missing. I don't care if Sancho or Saka missed it, penalties are missed, no big de. They have not been hyped as much as Rashford has been.

There is a debate to be had about the lateness of the substitutions, how the penalty takers were picked, but no, here you are slagging off Rashford. You sir are a first class plant pot.

Let's remember Raahford has back, shoulder and a foot injury. Players miss penalties. At the end if the day England could have done this and could have done that, but they didn't.

We got to a final, we should be proud. Hopefully we can go one better at the world cup.

It's classless to go after a player in such a manner and equally classless to bring Ole into the picture (genuinely no need for that) .

Like someone mentioned earlier, it would have been better if the conversation would have been around the team and the tactics (or the lack of) rather than pointing the finger at one player and or two and then justifying the claim by your love for the country from an era gone by. Just saying.

Rashford's pen was a bit unlucky miss, but Sancho and saka were badly taken pens.
I was so surprised not to see grealish take the 5th pen.
It's too much extra pressure on a young lad like saka. For me it should have been grealish taking the 5th pen. Or maybe who scored a blinder.

I’m guessing they had all been banging them in in training which is why they were picked, but that doesn’t compare to doing it when the title is on the line.

I think Rashford and Sancho should have come on a little earlier so they could have maybe touched the ball and felt part of the game.
