I didn't agree with the penalty. But it made the race a great spectacle. Fantastic drive.

Max is a very good aggressive driver, but he had to stay on the wider line and not try for the apex. A fee corners earlier lewis was in the reverse position and stayed centre of track and raced. Hope max is okay, but he caused that.

Verstappen is a great driver but he pushes the boundaries continually, this was bound to happen.

Hamilton was in the wrong here, he knows how high speed that corner is, was missing the apex of that corner and stuck his wheels where they shouldn't have been anyway, loads of room for Lewis to be in aswell, dangerous and Max lucky he's OK. A 10 second penalty was light considering actual real racing incidents get just 5 seconds less.
So Max loses any points and potentially could have been out for future races while Lewis gets a soft penalty with a superior car to the rest and gets Bottas moved out the way yet again for him, embarrassing really.

Agree with the above posts and a bit disappointed in some of the things coming out of red bull, blaming Hamilton, calling for a race suspension etc etc. Didn’t see that Hamilton done anything wrong, Verstappen is very aggressive so is Hamilton so sometimes if u live by the sword u die by the sword! Brilliant race by Hamilton regardless especially with the penalty. Congrats to him 👏🇬🇧.

This was a racing incident welsh. If max didn't have that crash and only span off it wouldn't have been any penalty.

He was side by side into corner, he was breaking earlier to make the corner.

If max stays on wide line and lewis pushes him off track on exit I agree. But max knew he was there and turned in on him. He had to leave space round corner from where they were on entry.

What a drive from lewis 👏👏👌 I can understand Cristian Horners frustration. but jesus how unprofessional in the ch4 interview does he really want to get lewis a race ban! I'm a tad disappointed in CH who I had always respected.

Welsh, go back 2 corners and Lewis could have turned in on Max but played it safe, good job he did. Max has bullied Hamilton this year, it’s about time Hamilton stood up for himself. There was plenty of room on both sides of both drivers, Verstappen knew he was there, he turned in, therefore he was at fault. The stewards saw it differently but gave a very minor penalty so they weren’t particularly concerned.

Loved it, penalty was wrong, not sure what Hamilton could've done. There are plenty of incidents that have happened on that corner, Max's aggressiveness caused that IMO. I'm glad Lewis did not pull out

It's going to make for interesting driving between the two, max was clearly very annoyed. Lewis will be grinning like a Cheshire cat no doubt. Going to be a fantastic end to the season.

Max for me is suffering from the same thing Hamilton did early in his career.
Clearly he is hugely talented, but races with the aggression of youth, it feels like its only a matter of time until he wins the championship. Yet like Hamilton before him he needs to learn how to harness that drive and aggression, to focus it and know when to pick his moments.

Like all of us when we are in our teens/ early 20's we think we are indestructible. That often leads us to mistake foolishness for bravery. As we age we gain a better perspective and with more experience we learn what is foolish and what is brave.

Max made a stupid error turning in trying to force Hamilton to break. It was too aggressive and he lost out. Fortunately his stint in the hospital was short and he seems physically okay. He needs to learn from this rather than throw his toys out of the pram. He is fortunate enough to be able to spend his formative years in F1 racing alongside one of the all time greats in Hamilton. Just as Hamilton made his first strides into F1 with Michael Schumacher in the final few years of his pomp. Hamilton used those experiences to learn from Schumacher, and no doubt its made him a better driver.

Verstappen has another 10-15 years in F1, he doesn't need to win every single duel out on the track. If he learns from this then he has every chance to go one and match maybe even surpass what Schumacher and Hamilton have achieved.
