Loving the Shappy count, can I be cheeky and ask for a scrolling banner format.

I'm slightly confused and concerned about it to be honest. I didn't think I wrote that much yesterday, but apparently I wrote nearly 900 words!

which means either I am unaware of just how much I am writing or when I do write a few larger posts I could be tipping a couple of thousand words.

{Ed001's Note - your previous post alone is 381 Shaps. Don't worry it is not an issue, it was just after all the ribbing you take, I thought it would be interesting to see exactly how many words you do use. It is not a bad thing that you make an effort and try to explain yourself properly. Personally I think it is something to be proud of that you make an effort.}

Ed001, I find it quite funny to be honest. I'm not going to change, I've been writing war and peace on here since it was just the single page. I tend to take everything anyone says to me with a pinch of salt and as good natured banter. I'd imagine anything that wasn't would have been edited out by you guys. Which I'm sure is a laborious task.

If you start taking a banter site about football too seriously then you probably need to step back for some perspective.

{Ed001's Note - good lad, as I said that site wouldn't be the same without you mate. I dread to think how I will fill my time when you finish studenting and get a job! The one thing I can say about you is that you are never nasty or bitchy, even though you do often seem to be the one of the end of a large amount of the jokes. That is a rare thing, to be able to take a joke and not take it to heart. Though it must be said, I think you are a much-loved member of the page, and I don't think anyone would really want you to change, no matter how many jokes they make.}

Well said, Ed001. Whether you agree with Shaps or not, I always respect that he writes articulately, and sets out the reasons for his points of view, rather than just spouting out tired, ill-thought out clichés.

Maybe I'm biased because I am somewhat prone to writing walls of text myself, or because I agree with you more often than not, but I always appreciate the thought that goes into your posts Shappy.

I'd rather read a well thought out wall of text than a simple statement with no explanation or justification for the opinion expressed.

If someone says they think player x sucks or player y is underrated, I want to know why they think that, it gives me something to think about, maybe even change my opinion.

Shapps is a good lad. Feel sorry for his uni professor's who have to read his dissertations.

I used to use the 'shappy is typing. ' on whatsapp as a 20 minute oven timer.

If you wait long enough you will agree with him ajh. Shappy comes full circle on everything eventually.
Im with James Mc. As we know him personally and spent time in his company.
Not only he is a good poster he is a good person with good morals.
Sure he would argue black is white and then the following day that white is black and contradicts himself continuously but that's what happens when you have an opinion on absolutly everything.
When he stops being a student and at the age of 34 it has to happen sometime no prospective employer would put up with the waffle so when shappy joins the employed brigade we should see a more consise style.
I would hasten to add whomever shappy does get employed by will be getting a good man.
Some folk you can trust others you can't and shappy is one of those you can trust, not withstanding his propensity to waffle.

Jonny, not even started it yet. Complications in my life over the past year means I've deferred it until next year. Which gives me plenty of time to write long posts on here in preparation.
