Away from paper gossip, who are we targeting for CM. I think Rice is too expensive, Camavinga will go to PSG or Madrid next year so who's left. Ed002 hinted we are trying to sign a CM, but who are our realistic targets.

Would love saul I know you said we'd spoken with atletico a week or 2 ago Ed so to hear we are still in for him seems positive, from what you know would he just be considered a pogba replacement? Or may we bring him in if pogba stays (this year)? I really hope pogba goes it would be embarrassing for him to walk on a free after so much being spent to bring him back, I also believe rewarding his performances over the life of the contract with a massive wage rise would send a terrible message to the rest of the team.

I think ED should go for Saul and not do a rush buying when Pogba decides to leave towards the end of the transfer window or when Pogba want to leave for free. I think ED should go for Saul now.

West Ham don’t want to sell but are looking at potential replacements nonetheless. That player has turned down several new contract offers but would likely need to hand in a transfer request to force a move. Pretty sure he’d prefer Chelski to us.

Personally, I’d much rather see us put in an offer of Lingard plus cash for Ndidi, but he doesn’t seem to be on our radar at the moment. I’d be happy with Saul instead, although that one feels somewhat dependent on the Pogba situation being solved, which seems unlikely given that his agent has been offering him around as a free agent for next season.
