Just come out of a four hour client meeting to the best news I’ve had all year. What a few hours. So pleased we pulled our finger out and I’m delighted to be proven wrong.

If he signs then I'm more happy that the younger lads will be getting to train with him each day than I am the fact that Ronaldo will be playing for us, although that isn't a bad thing either.

Surely a couple of years of Ronaldo training and playing with them will help the Greenwood's, Sancho's, Rashford's and Diallo's in the squad hugely. That experience could be huge going forward and seeing the way he trains and looks after himself day in day out.

I'd rather we kept Cavani too though personally as we will need him. Pogba going and a replacement coming in wouldn't be a huge issue and good god please find buyers for Jones and Martial.
