Just a few hours ago there wasn’t a person on the the planet who thought United would sign Ronaldo. We all know what Ed02 is about and his information, whilst often blunt, is usually bang on. Things often change rapidly in football and the Ed’s aren’t oracles. I don’t think many people thought this was possible. 👍🏻.

What a total moron. The speed of this deal even those "in the know" knew little of this deal 24 hours ago.

From what I gather we were offered Ronaldo, and turned him down. It then looked like he would go to City and the board decided that with the current tensions between the fans and the owners that they couldn't let Ronaldo join City so they acted and quickly to stem fan backlash.

Either way I won't complain about how or why Ronaldo is home, I'll just enjoy him being here.

I posted last night about my doubts of any more business and whilst I could tell you who I am and who I know, it matters not a jot. Apologies Ed, its almost 11pm here af I am a few sherberts into my evening now and frankly basking in being a pure fan for a change.

People have no idea how heartbreaking it was before Alex retired for no other reason than Kathy's sister passing away when the deal was done for Cristiano to return and so much water under the bridge has seen us in the wilderness.

It is honestly still spoken about privately that life is more important than football (contrary to shackles well publicised public statements) and Alex was also influenced in that decision by the loss of his own mentor, Jock Stein.

This is not a nostalgia move, it is unfinished business, the back story is going to go into Utd folklore because it is inspiring and makes me proud as a fan of the club and it will be uplifting as it unfolds.

It goes way beyond the pitch and the goals of the club, it hits the very heart of the values Utd are built on that Alex restored so ably.

So when I see moronic and disrespectful behaviour of so called fans, who don't appreciate the benefits of wisdom from people like Ed002 who I know for a fact gives solid info whilst deliberately being vague occasionally in deference to info from trusted relationships that may compromise people which is a fine balance, it seriously (delete as appropriate) p. es me right off.

I may travel the world and have a UK base in the heart of Cheshire, but I am a proper Wythenshawe manc at heart and still behave accordingly!
