Camavinga wanted Real Madrid, he was just waiting for them to make their move.

While Real Madrid were really pushing for Mbappe and had all their efforts focused on that. But seeing as PSG are refusing to deal at 180m and pushing for 200m for a player who can sign a pre-contractual agreement in 5 months time to move on a free next summer. So Real have made the sensible decision to just sign him in January for next summer, which freed up time and money to sign Camavinga.

Like Ken say, Neves could totally revolutionise our midfield. He's a player who does the defensive work, but has the technical ability and passing quality to enable us to build up play quicker and switch play faster. Fingers crossed we get him today.

Eric, Pogba, Mbappe and Camavinga are all available next summer for free.
The difference is Rennes are the only club taking a sensible approach and accepting what fee they can get rather trying to play hard ball from a weak bargaining position.
