Imo the only reason ole played lindelof last night is because he felt sorry for him and still wants to be 'friends'
Varane and maguire have only played 2 games together. No need to split them they need a much time together as possible.
Is pogba left side or midfield?
Why all the chopping and changing 4 games into the season?
I can see another vdb situation occurring with sancho.
Ole has to pick his team and not worry about upsetting players.
If a player is not in the current 1st 11 then so be it. No need to rotate unless its forced this early in the season.

Definetely Ken. He just hasn't grasped how and when to rotate the squad. He chopped and changed because he thought it would be an eady game. Then when we went down to 10 men, he treated them like peak Barcelona and retreated like a coward.

Play your best team early doors and get points on the table. Varane is not a player you have on the bench.

He's clueless on how to handle a squad with some much talent.

Sancho looked terrible last night, after a decent performance the game before. He needs to become more assertive with and without the ball. One play stood out to me where Ronaldo got forward on the left to shoot from a wide angle and Sancho was still jogging 40 yards away. That is unacceptable. At the moment Greenwood is well head of him as the right winger.

I think there is a little misunderstanding about the player that Sancho is. He isn't the sort of player to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and win it on him own. To get the best out of him he needs players around him, quick little give and goes, lots of options and movement.

Leave him isolated to do something by himself and he's good but not great. He would do much better is he had a full back behind him overlapping and making space and giving him another passing option.

I think Sancho looks a little overawed, I hope he gets past that as we’ve seen players come to United and not be able to cope with the spotlight. I’ve not seen much of him but so far he isn’t being expressive, hopefully just settling in.

Sancho needs to adapt, he's only had two starts and 2 sub appearances. There were much worst players on the pitch than Sancho last night.

It was the wrong time to rotate the squad. Personally AWB needs to be dropped. He isn't upto it. Give Dalot a run and see how AWB reacts.

{Ed0666's Note - it’s a real shame as AWB on his day is a worldie

Why does AWB need to get dropped? Because of one red card? Suddenly he is the worst player ever.

I think Dalot showed last night exactly why we wanted Trippier, Dalot is not good enough and is the reason AWB plays so many games.

Shappy, I agree about Sancho’s strengths. Our current setup does not develop relationships very well between players in triangles that pass and move and rotate. Our system currently is designed for risk takers who play balls in for the strikers to score. Players who create their own space. This works for players like Pogba and Bruno, but not for van de Beek or Sancho, whose styles are built on the collective, and not as much on individual ability.

I posted about Sancho after we bought him and used a quote from Sancho about what he does. He is a player who wants to get past people, plays on the right at his best. Like I said at the time that doesn’t fit in with Ole tactics, get so far pass inside to Bruno or Pogba. Ole tactics could ruin and waste the talents of a £73m asset if Utd are not careful. The club need to monitor how their expensive new asset is being handled by the manager or like DvB and AWB could see their worth to the team and value fall fast. It’s the Ole effect.
