Let's assume OGS only had weeks/ months left.

Who's your pick to replace him. One, realistic name only. I'll start and still go with Pochettino as think he can be persuaded to get out of PSG.

Potter.

Conte.

Potter has shown himself to be an excellent coach who improves not only players but teams. Inexperience may be a risk at a club of United's size with a squad full of egos but I wouldn't be disappointed if we ended up with him.

I've always had a soft spot for Lucien Favre's sides who are generally a really good watch.

I still reckon Conte and Zidane would likely be the front runners. Conte doesn't generally produce the most entertaining teams and he falls out with the board but he'd get the club back to winning ways. Zidane did incredibly well at Real but strangely still seems a risk despite his success.

From Harry to Graham.

Quite honestly I really would not want Poch, although he would be better then Ole that goes without saying and he would bring his own coaches with him so means our laughing boys would be gone too, so maybe yeah …go for that, he will be sacked at PSG soon anyway and ZZ in there.

Ten Hag or Claudio Raneri.

The same poch who has never won a trophy and is just after losing to Rennes 2-0, while failing to register a single shot on goal with an attack of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe.
The same poch who came 2nd in the French farmers league last season?

Honest to god, lunatics running the asylum these days.
Ye criticise Ole but love Poch. Where's the difference, if ones a pe teacher so is the other.

{Ed014's Note - Poch did lose a final rather than a semi ?

PSG don't seem to be doing too bad this season. 6 points clear in Ligue 1 already and just beat our champions Man City, quite comprehensively.

Poch is far from a PE teacher. Anyone with half a brain knows that he is a good coach.

Poch Is a good coach where I think his downfall comes is dealing with superstars and big egos, that’s what I think will also happen at PSG with him.

He was doing great at Spurs when they were mainly kids and no big ego’s at that time, once they all started to think they were about to win everything and were superstars the wheels started to fall off.

That’s where I believe he let's himself down in becoming an elite coach, but he is ahead of Ole that’s for sure by a country mile…… would PSG swap Poch for Ole not a chance, Would PSG like a bigger name coach then Poch…. most certainly it’s all about PR for PSG.

Just watch us try and grab Southgate or failing that it’ll be zidane for the big name.

Potter is doing great with Brighton, but I think he needs to move up one more level to show what he can do before he gets one of the top jobs. One to keep an eye on perhaps.

I’d love ten Haag. Ajax have a similar philosophy in terms of attacking football and bringing through younger players, something he’s proved to be good at so far.

Potter (hugely influenced by Ed 001's article) or ten Haag. Wildcard Marcelo Gallardo.

I really like the style of play that managers like Potter, Rose and Marsch play. Yet I think they are all a little too inexperienced for a club United's size. Especially as the club isn't best set up to support managers and expects them to do everything on their own, even when being undermined occasionally.

For that reason I think we need someone with a little more experience and understanding. My pick would be either Erik Ten Hag or Ralf Rangnick. Both play good football, both more experienced, both have had jobs above that of a mere manager which should make negotiating the tricky behind scenes at United a little easier.

That said I expect the club to go down the route of "who's the biggest name currently unemployed" which means it'll be either Conte or Zidane currently. I actually think Conte might turn us down if approached. He only wants jobs where he can be a success, and he is no mug, a few conversations with Woodward will give Conte the measure of the club and he might just choose to sit tight until a better job opportunity comes along.

Brendan Rodgers. Get your heads past the Liverpool connection. Excellent coach, all his teams have played good football, made some excellent signings on limited money, good team around him. But can you get your head past the Liverpool connection?

Caolan that is a huge worry, Southgate in for Ole, no one in the world could be that cruel to united fans to let that happen…. Pleeeasssssssse No.

Rodgers is a good shout if your looking at epl experience Big club experience got very close with Liverpool won the Cup at Leicester did what he had to do at celtic i think he is a very good coach.
There are question marks as there are over most candidates but if have no objection.

Managing United isn't just about ability, its having the resilience to cope with the pressure week in week out, something Ole does quite well.

Shappy I'm sorry but Ten Hag looks like he might be off to Barca, and Ralf you would have to ask why hasn't he been picked up by another club since leaving RB.
