The best managers are obsessive over the fine details. If for example, our players need two or three touches before every pass, it shows that the angles and distances between players are all wrong.

With some players, like Fred for example, it is an individual problem. Others are gifted in this area, Mata, van de Beek, and Greenwood of late.

Good managers fix this - they adjust the spacing, timing, distances so that the passing can be one and two touch. That speeds up the play and allows for the penetrative passes we need before the defense can readjust.

You know Pep, Klopp, Tuchel obsess over these things, down to the last detail. Ole does not come across that way at all. Sitting still all match long, and waxing poetic to the press about all the goals all our attackers will naturally score, does not come across well.

Maybe Ole needs to re-calibrate his monitor to get it right. Not sure if he knows how to ?.
