Well we have finally won something. It may only be an appeal against Obi-Wan Bissanka's red card, but it feels like a turning point. Good times ahead guys!

It makes you wonder who is running the disciplinary board at UEFA.

He gets a red card and a one match ban.

The disciplinary board deem the tackle to be "rough play" and worthy of an extra game ban, extending it to two games.

United lodge an appeal and suddenly UEFA decide that it shouldn't be a red card let alone a two game ban for "rough play".

Absolute shambles, either it's a bad foul worthy of a two game ban or its not a foul at all.

Now the Ref looks bad for making the wrong call, AND UEFA look bad as they either don't know their own rules or they have no power of their own convictions.

It's not against the red card itself, just the additional one game he got for supposed 'rough play'. Either way he is available for the next game, as you say it is something.

More importantly, it’s the right decision finally. Surely we have seen worse fouls not get red cards let alone additional punishment.

With Maguire and Varane out, helps us defensively.
