Yesterday I did feel devastated by the loss. Today I do feel the right decision is to stick by Ole it's not a time for people above to sack him. There isn't a plan, I don't want a manger that is another stop gap. We need a manager we want, that suits us and can build on what Ole has done so far. I definitely don't feel Ole is a long term solution far from it but the next manager has to be the right fit for the club. I think having a Care taker manager puts pressure on the board if they do well. I think the board should now be thinking of what they should do come the end of the season and thinking of potential candidates.

{Ed0666's Note - maybe Ronaldo can take the helm until you find a manager. He seems to be making most of the decisions anyway. And his minder Bruno can be assistant as he revels in the sidekick role.

Twenty, you need your head wobbled if you think Ole should continue. The man has not learned a single lesson since he took over 3 years, had an incredible amount of luck and has been given a boat load of money to spend on players.

He serves up absolute crap, week after week after week. Keeping Ole in the job at this stage is quite frankly idiotic.

Conte, an outstanding candidate is available.
He is a man with ambition and accepts nothing but winning.

Conte would certainly deal wth the pre madonnas at the club.

Sack Ole, get an interim until the end of the season. let's be honest the realistic target now is a top 4 finish and an interim could probably still do a better job than Ole. Then we go all in for Erik ten Hag in the summer.

Problem sorted.

The real problem remains the inept club management. Until that changes things will not improve. Ronaldo has set the clock back further, pinning our hopes on a fantasy. The only chance is a manager who is strong enough to counteract the rotten core that has persisted ever since the Glazers took over.

Is there such a person out there who wants the job? I don't see any saviours. The last time the position was open the best they could manage was OGS.

How about Mick McCarthey, he’s available and a failed Cardiff manager although he didn’t score a goal 20 odd years ago.

Conte is not the right choice. You all want short term success and if you want long term success you need a structure like Liverpool or city. Conte is a bit of a mourinho mould. He won’t like the structure at the club he will inevitably fall out with the board and won’t last more than 2 years. He won’t play the football we like either.
Agree shawthing. The club is just run extremely poorly which is why we find ourselves in this position.
Im not pro Ole at all. I just think we need to see the bigger picture.
What you guys are suggesting is exactly what ole was brought in for, it puts the club in a difficult position if that candidate does to well.

The only way it would work if we had an agreement in place for a manager to take over in the summer prior to hiring a interim.

Mad Hatter - Out of interest pal who do you think are the prima-donna’s?

{Ed0666's Note - Ronaldo & Fernandes for starters

Lots of people living in the SAF Wenger era thinking long term. Chelsea with their short term culture have won more PL trophies. Liverpool have won 1.

United manager is a poisoned chalice. Ole has gotten us so far. I fully agree with Jamie Carragher that we can’t expect Ole to compete with Pep Tuchel or Klopp. Chalk and cheese.

Carragher admits he was never good for England because rio and terry were just better than him and he couldn’t do anything to get better. It’s the same with Ole.

On a side note, I love Gary Neville but his whole reluctance to accept Ole is the wrong man is becoming his undoing. He was laughed at by everyone in the studio yesterday. Carragher is a much better pundit!

DLIB,

I'll add to ED0666s list, Pogba, Lingard, Martial, Shaw.

Ed0666 - I’ve always thought Bruno works very hard however I must agree he seems to have gone rouge. Running around like a headless chicken, pressing on his own and leaving the midfield horribly exposed. He’s acting like a petulant chid. Running all over the place and throwing his arms around blaming others rather than leading. It’s not like him, many wanted him to be our captain. He’s been head and shoulders our best player since he arrived I do wonder what’s gone wrong?

Ronaldo is Ronaldo, play to his strengths or send him back to Portugal.

I’ll have Pogba and maybe Martial but it wasn’t their fault we were 4-0 down at HT yesterday so I’m just interested are the others?

{Ed0666's Note - you have a talented motley crew. It’s obvious no one respects OGS. His half time team talks must just go in one ear and out of the other. He’s the sweetest man in the world but sweet don’t make you winners. You need a nasty son of a bitch who won’t tolerate inflated ego’s with a winning mentality. The obvious and clear candidate is Conte. Yes it will probably end in tears after a couple of seasons but he’s the disciplinarian you need right now to steady the ship because soon enough there will be a mutiny. I truly believe Ole won’t see the end of the week as United manager.
