Depends what the club are looking for. Short term I’d be looking at Hiddink. Long term I’d love to see us go for Gasperini or, if he can’t be persuaded, Ten Hag.

Surprised Southgate has such a relatively high amount of votes. Joint 3rd with Pochettino behind Conte in 2nd and EtH in 1st.

Just as I post that it looks like Pochettino has edged 2 votes ahead of Southgate. Still a little surprised that Southgate is ahead of Rodgers. It must be Brendan's Liverpool connection I'd imagine.

Shappy, i'm also surprised thete isn't more support for Rogers. I think he'd be an excellent choice.

I also like the idea of Ten Hag but i'm concerned his philosophy will take timw to implement and this Utd squad aren't suited to it.

Manc man. Who says are players are not suited to it? They have never been couched that way or asked to play that way. I'd imagine they are more than capable of playing several styles and tactical ways.
They need to be led.

I don't think it will be united fans voting for Southgate. I imagine it will be other fans as a joke.

Im sure you are right Ken but doesn't Ten Hag employ the dutch system of possession based total football requiring lots of pass and move?

Thats a big change in style for players like Rashford, Greenwood and Fernandes etc.

Mancman, I think our squad is well suited to EtH's style of play.

At Ajax he tends to play a back four with fullbacks given license to get forward but still have defensive responsibilities, a midfield pivot with a deep lying player and a box to box player. A No.10 that is given license to roam beyond the striker and wide, often with inverted wide players who tend to look for goal.

It fits well with what we have.

ETH is a risk considering no EPL experience and handling of a giant club with intense scrutiny.

Ten Hag has been linked with Utd and Barca, two clubs absolutely desperate for someone to come in and sort things out from the ground up. They've been looking at the Ajax model and decided they'd like a piece of that. Let's just muscle in and take the lot. I hope he stays where he is and continues his great work, I think the pressure of moving away from the heights of the Dutch sunday league to the enormity of one of the largest clubs in the world could easily crumble him. I imagine he'd need to move to another team first.

Im sure youve seen Ajax play more than me Shappy but if Ten Hag likes his teans to keep poseesion then he will have a problem with Utds current squad.

Too many selfish players who like a shot or love the Hollywood ball.

Southgate seems like a really great man and a good human - that being said I don't want him anywhere near managing our team. What has he shown as a manager? You don't gamble on a guy who has been terrible at club management and ok to good at international management. Would be an awful awful mistake.
