So it is looking like Conte to Spurs might be a goer. I thought after talks broke down last summer between the two that it wasn't likely. Looks like Spurs are just going to give him what he wants.

I wonder if the United/ Conte links made Spurs act with Nuno to get Conte and avoid United getting him.

I wonder if United were ever seriously interested in Conte. If so why isn't he our manager already?

I actually think Conte suits spurs more than he does United.

Nobody suits United as long as Ole is in charge. Simple as. Conte will be Jose like, Potter doesn't have experience, Poch isn't a winner, Ten Hag has issues etc etc etc. Its just pathetic reasons not to throw the clown out. Conte in will mean Spurs will finish above us come May.

I doubt he would have been an option for us, if the board are focusing on restoring the culture and approach, I doubt they will have entertained a fiery Italian. Hot saying they are right, just commenting on what I see.

The club should react asap and sack Ole.
Conte has to be bought in right now to sort the mess out. Spurs seem to expect a higher standard than us.
Pathetic decision makers.

Restoring the culture ? so sick of all this “the United way” boll@cks.

The minute the club decided to give Ole the next 3 + games rather than act it always looked like an attempt to not bring in Conte. I think they got burned by Mourinho and do not want to go back down that route.
Whether Ole lasts too much longer I think Conte being off the table will be seen as a positive for a lot at the club.

I think Conte/ Spurs are a good fit. I do suspect Utd's situation forced their hand, whether or not they we were genuinely interested, the fact is that Conte was the outstanding candidate for any top club in terms of experience and achievements.
Not sure where the Poch rumours are resurfacing from. Is there any reason to think PSG aren't happy with him, and has he won anything since last time we went calling?

Ole will still be here next season as cheaper alternatives aren't available.

What Utd crave is stability. Consistent top 4 finishes, the odd marquee signing to improve the marketability of the brand and invent stories of a long term plan, with tales of the Utd way, the development of youth and progression in order to disguise the lack of ambition.

Utd are a business and will react when revenue becomes at risk. At the moment we are 3 points behind West Ham in 4th and top of our CL group! Where is the panic? That’s just for the hysterical fans that don’t understand the situation.

Ole has no pedigree, no history of winning trophies but he has delivered top 4 and that’s ultimately what they want. That’s the standard.

The people in charge at our Club don’t understand football. They think the problem at Man Utd is the fans. I can just imagine the Glazers sat there counting all their money saying what’s wrong with these people we’ve just brought Ronaldo back. The Club is run like a theme park, Ronaldo is the star attraction not the premier league trophy.

We’ll invariably stumble across the right manager one day but it will be a lucky appointment rather than a planned one.

DLIB, I think they hoped Ronaldo would be United's Tom Brady and we would win the Superbowl.

Or did they just want to sell some shares?!

We've a better chance of winning the Superbowl.
