Ole says in post match interview "no one can question the character of these players because they never give up or give in they just keep going"

What is it they aren't giving up on when they don't play for 70 minutes, what character is he seeing?

Kept him in a job again tonight but this can't go on much longer .

Really. As a captain what does Maguire offer? He was hiding and constantly backing off 2nd half. You can't polish a tu*d but you can roll it in glitter. Shaw hits 1 good cross in 10, why not Telles at WB? Our passing is often poor, often passing behind a player, surely that's partly down to coaching. VDB is probably our best player at retaining the ball, why doesn't he play more when its so often given away easily all over the pitch. I'm not his biggest fan but I thought AWB was our best player during the whole game although Ronaldo comes up with the magic. 2nd goal was great, 1st goal was superb build up and that was the highlights.

The thing i find most extraordinary is that ole abandoned his 3 at the back after 1 game and 37 mins.
Bad error by ddg by the way didn't help although he pulled of a couple of good stops after.
Everything they have worked on for 10 days went out the window.
Anyway it's got us into a good position in the group thanks to another Ronaldo double.
You run out of superlatives. He is the ultimate big moment player. Always on the hunt for that goal.

We just can't afford to kiss anymore ground before the intl break.
A win we go level with city who are not having the best of runs either. We should take this opportunity.
Lose it and we go 6 points behind them and fall into mid table with chooses Chelsea next up.
I think its a great opportunity to beat a city team fighting for form and without a cf . I can see them having a struggle if we can beat them. They need to buy a cf in jan.

Ken I think he abandoned 3 at the back after Varane got injured. We don't have many more CBs worth putting on the pitch when you get that far down the list.

With 2 defenders injured in the last 2 days he had no choice but to change from the back 3 unfortunately, it also wasn’t working very well and Greenwood did well when he came on, he is such a classy player I think we need to get him on the pitch. Interesting he put Donny and Sancho on and we got the winner, he needs to work out how to use both of those players going forward.

This statement might not age well but I don't see us beating City on Saturday. City win or draw for me. Although our haphazard approach (due to the ineptitude of the manager and coaching team) might bewilder pep just enough that it throws him off his game and we sneak a win. We live in hope but I ain't holding my breath.

I think injury to varane and knowing we were chasing the game did it. It would have been a good decision if we didn't have Pogba in a midfield 2.

We did look better when we moved to a back 4 and I’m guessing it was Varane’s injury and not wanting to move Shaw inside.

It does feel like players are being coached effectively, too many mistakes, poor positioning.

Having said that, we also have some poor performances, Pogba continually gave the ball away often in very dangerous positions. Given he can leave for free at the end of the season I don’t know why we are still picking him.

I said it last night and its been subject to debate on here before- pogba and bruno cannot play together effectively without making us vulnerable . pp last nite was utter garbage and the quicker he is gone the better.
mctom worked but was so close to seeing double yellow ala fred. When will this clowns boot OGS submit and go?
We escaped last nite because of ronaldo but he can't and shouldn't be expected to do it every game! We may well scrape through to the knockout stages but that's as far as we will get with the current set up and seriously thinking 6/ 7 position in the league with the current roller coaster performances.
