Zidane rumours picking up. can't see it to be honest. If anything is to happen this week we should get an indication tomorrow. Ole should be back so if he's taking training then he will be in charge on the weekend. Can't see him lasting too much longer mind, no miracle run to save him this time.

Would prefer Zidane over Rodgers. Not convinced the latter is a big enough name to command the respect of world class players like Ronaldo and Varane, nor do I think he’s really proven himself consistently in a truly competitive setting. Sure, he had a good season last time around, but Leicester have been pretty poor so far and are actually two points further from the top than us (a team whose fans are calling for the manager to be sacked) . Make no mistake, Rodgers would be a massive set up over Ole, but I’m not convinced he’s got what it takes to win league titles with United.

Rodgers managed to control the ego's and demand the respect of Stevie "Me" Gerrard and Luis "bitey" Suarez at Liverpool. His training sessions are challenging and imaginative. Pushing players and improving them. While he is clearly knowledgeable about the game. I think if Ole can command the respect of the dressing room than Rodgers will easily.

The question is would Zidane and his very limited english be able to get across his ideas accurately to the majority of our dressing room. Or will key aspects get lost in translation?

Best of all are the tabloids with the rolling news that contradict themselves without a hint of irony or explanation : 0800 Daily Mirror Poch interested
