I’d like to say sorry to ken for the childish name calling I indulged in. Too much wine but that’s really no excuse. I apologise.

From the reactions and other comments and posts it seems I’m not alone in not enjoying the personal abuse aimed at the Manager. Over the last week I’ve been on quite a few different United forums and whilst many many people want a change of Manager, I didn’t see any abuse or personal attacks.

It used to be fun on here but sadly it has become tribal and draining.

No need for an apology AJh honestly
Accepted nonetheless.
Not the first time you had to apologise or withdraw remarks after a bottle of wine maybe put your phone in the car when you open a bottle ?
I do think you need to understand what personal abuse is all the same. I never directed any abuse to OGS.

AJH - Opinion is polarised is at moment. Most believe Ole is ruining a vary talented squad and frustrations are boiling over. The likes of Ken, Mumbles and Red Man amongst others have foresaw this for a long time and their words of warning have come to fruition.

It’s a frustrating time as the decision makers lack the courage of their convictions and appear frozen by indecision and fear. Their solution was to send everyone to go and hide for a week in the hope everything calmed down. Surely we can all agree this is not the correct way to lead one of the biggest sporting institutions in the world.

I firmly believe that whilst the Glazers remain in charge and they continue to place bankers, financial or corporate employees in charge of making important footballing decisions we’ll continue to struggle. I have no faith the decision makers have the ability to chose the next manager and they appear to be looking for a yes man, for the want of a better word rather than a winner. I think there is compelling evidence that the Club is only interested in finishing 4th and whilst this remains the principal target in my opinion we’ll struggle to reach the top. Some argue the Club have spent vast amounts of money and once Ole is removed the situation will improve. Some believe the Glazers are decent owners and we could do worse. The fan base is divided.

This forum is not vanilla and posters are given the platform to express their views and opinions. This fierce debate is what compels us back to the site day after day.

Whilst we should never condone or tolerate abuse I have great faith that the editors do a fine job of blocking out all of the unsavoury material. Of course it’s still your prerogative to challenge anything you feel uncomfortable with but from a personal perspective I haven’t read anything I would constitute as abuse. We are all passionate supporters expressing our opinions. I’m sure this next run of fixtures is about to challenge us even further.

I think the tone mostly comes from the frustration of seeing a situation that needs rectifying, but nothing is being done about it.

I think a lot of us have said that we don't expect Ole to be removed from his job unless the situation becomes unmanageable as it was with Jose.
I expect at this stage an up and down season, I hope more than believe we can pick up a trophy (FA Cup is the only realistic one) and while I thought we might get 3rd this season, that seems more optimistic that realistic at the moment.

Essentially United have become the half decent Cup team that I started supporting in the early 80s. I know some say we have accepted mediocrity since the Glazers rocked up, but for large parts of United's existence we have been a mediocre team pock-marked with short periods of outstanding success. The Fergie era was unprecedented and will never return, I'm just grateful that I got to witness it.

I can't leave you lot alone for 10 minutes can I?

The sooner you lot all start singing from the same same hymn sheet and pulling in the same direction, the better the site will be.

And that direction is Jamesmack8 is right. Always. And Shappys hard drive needs to be checked. My mind will never change on those two points.

Don’t think an apology was needed really, people can say what they want on here and if others don’t like it they can just not read it and move past, I believe that’s what Ken said so it’s all good.

Never asked for one as I said I didn't deem it necessary but accepted it with good grace.
I don't get upset just like shappy doesn't when folk have a personal dig at me.
Ajh doesn't know me never met me and would probably never want to meet me so I'm not bothered 1 bit. I poke shaps a lot and he does me as we often have polar opinions but never step over the invisible line we both know is there.
That's why shappy and I are good mates off this site and have reached out and helped each other through personal challenges.
People can say what they want as long as the editors deem it fit.
Issues usually arise with me when people make statements of fact that are untrue and accuse you of hate. I see it again up above on Southgate nobody hates him yet there is a post there saying I don't get the hate for Southgate' accusing someone of hating someone is not a nice thing to do.
I don't hate ole but hate the fact he is our manager I hate what he has done to the club and team and imo destroyed a winning culture and that's how I percieve him.
Also on a forum like this there are people from all cultures and all ages so things can get lost in translation and often people use words and phrases they don't understand or are ignorant of.
Not once have I ever directed personal abuse at ole. Never once. I have been very candid on how I perceived him that's not personal abuse so often people make incorrect accusations usually through ignorance or often drunkeness ?
Room for everyone in this world imo. Oles spot should be in our Mongolia away from anyone he can upset and as far away from a football pitch as possible?.

Our views of what constitute personal abuse are clearly very different but that’s just opinions.

You see its not opinions gds2. Personal abuse is defined and in many cases illegal. I think you will find I have not personally abuse ogs at all. Educate yourself on it.

{Ed014's Note - if he’s had a drink it’s fine for GDS2 to be abusive, outside of that he finds anything else abhorrent.

I have never accused you of abuse. Abuse is face to face. Slander on the other hand.

Don’t think there has been any digs, nor have I said what I think about personal abuse or that I find it abhorrent, I’ll own it if I personally abuse someone though not come on and pretend i haven’t when I clearly have.

No surprise the defence lawyer has something to say though.

You seem to be confusing personal abuse with something else Ken, illegal ? you just said things about Solskjser that are personal and abusive, own it, nobody is arresting you, it’s not a court, even if your lawyer has stepped in.

{Ed014's Note - ?‍♂️
