On the subject of our next manager, many want the boss of Ajax, but you must remember his style is the Dutch way, possession football, intelligence game plans. Sounds great but he is working with players who are used to this skill and style for years, it's trained into Dutch players form kids starting out. Most of our players will never be able to play that way, many of our players cannot use both feet, and retain possession. So if we got him will we wait for him to bring in the right players and instill the style, doubt it. The game has evolved, the Barcelona style was created from Dutch football, City have it from Pep, Liverpool have developed it now too. I can't see the club having the patience for another 3 years to get this level. Pochettino would be a better short-term option and with a few good signings might just get it right a lot sooner.

Gotta agree with a lot of that Red. I’d love that total football philosophy at Utd but I don’t think anyone has the patience to wait until it sinks in at Utd. Those kids breath it from school.

These are professional footballers who train 6 days a week. They can learn a new style of football if asked to the same as learning anything, with time.
