Just wondering after last night.
Carrick under Ole has taken quite a bit of stick not least on here.
Could it be that he is actually quite good but has just not been listened to by "I believe in myself" Ole?

Ole while "believing" in himself never stuck me as a dictator who would run roughshod over his assistants and coaches.

I remember one of the gripes about Ole on here was that he would talk through every decision with one of his coaches on the sideline before taking action.

Last night we got a good result without playing well. We set up and played like did under Ole. The players maybe gave an extra 10% maybe for that new manager bounce.

Maybe Carrick will become a top manager, maybe he won't. But we learned nothing last night. To be fair in 48 hours there wouldn't have been much time to work on anything new.

Shappy, I don't believe that Ole would ride rough shod over anyone but I do believe he is capable of listening to advice, even good advice and ignoring it which He, as ultimate manager was perfectly entitled to do.
I was merely suggesting that Carrick, whilst thoroughly loyal, might not have been agreement with tactics.

Its quite simple actually. The big players wanted Ole gone. Now that he is gone, they will automatically try that bit harder knowing full well that Carrick isn't the long term option and they now need to play to salvage the season as much as they can. The problem was Ole.
